The most exciting aspect of the CU offense in 2011 is ...
  • Rodney Stewart will have a fullback and an extra tight end to block for him. (38%, 116 Votes)
  • No Tyler v. Cody - it's Tyler's team. (26%, 79 Votes)
  • Paul Richardson will have a full year to show off his talents. (20%, 62 Votes)
  • The offensive line is one of the best in the Pac-12. (16%, 49 Votes)

My thoughts on future non-conference scheduling ...
  • You've got to play the best to be the best (see: 1990). Bring on the nation! (49%, 111 Votes)
  • The Montana State game was a fluke/bad dream. Bring on an FCS opponent annually (like everybody else). (26%, 60 Votes)
  • It is what it is. CU can't sell tickets to NE Teacher's College, so scheduling marquee BCS opponents a reality (even if it costs wins). (25%, 56 Votes)

Pac-12 stat which most surprised me ...

  • UCLA leads the all-time series against every Pac-12 opponent (except USC) (23%, 51 Votes)
  • Cal claims five national titles in FB; all before 1938 (22%, 50 Votes)
  • Oregon State averaged nine wins per year - 2006-09 (20%, 45 Votes)
  • Arizona State is 15-21 the past three seasons (11%, 24 Votes)

Start Date: July 11, 2011 @ 8:44 pm

Ohio State volunteers to vacate all 12 victories in 2011 ...
  • Means absolutely nothing. Anyone believe CU will be playing an 0-13 team this fall? (55%, 112 Votes)
  • Only issue which matters to me is if the OSU/CU game is blacked out by NCAA. (44%, 88 Votes)
  • Giving up the seventh straight win over Michigan, plus a head coach, is penalty enough. (1%, 2 Votes)

Start Date: July 10, 2011 @ 10:56 am
End Date: No Expiry

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
