Buffs humbled by No. 10 Arizona, 97-50. Thoughts on what this reflects about Tad Boyle's Buffs
  • The Buffs were without Tristan Da Silva and Cody Williams. Take two of the top players out of the lineup of most teams, and put them on the road against a top ten team ... and this will happen (49%, 117 Votes)
  • Well, CU hadn't won in Tucson since 1965, so I guess we should have seen this loss coming, but getting embarrassed like this? I guess we should be glad that it only counts for one loss (40%, 96 Votes)
  • This is an Arizona team which gave up to 100 points on the road to Stanford in its last game. The Wildcats were ripe for the taking, but the Buffs under Tad Boyle tend to choke in big games (11%, 25 Votes)

Which quote from five-star high school prospects about NIL offers do you find to be the most eyebrow raising?
  • "It wasn’t a big difference for me in terms of the total package. All the schools offered about $300,000 to $400,000 per year with the ability to earn more" (73%, 122 Votes)
  • "I had another school offer me the same NIL deal, but with a signing bonus. The signing bonus would’ve been basically a really nice car. The NIL deal is like an NFL rookie contract" (19%, 31 Votes)
  • "I signed completely off the bond I built with coaches. I didn’t start talking about NIL until recently. I’ll be making about $80,000 to $100,000 per year. A couple other schools had similar offers" (8%, 13 Votes)

Which of the following quotes from CU five-star freshman offensive lineman Jordan Seaton do you like the best?
  • "I’m looking at it, like, ‘I can do everything at these big schools right here in Colorado’ So it’s like, ‘Why not? Why not just bet on myself?”’ (49%, 104 Votes)
  • "It was my mother’s birthday and there were only two schools that said happy birthday to my mother, and CU was one of them. Just little things like that. My clarity was, ‘Who really cares about me?" (34%, 71 Votes)
  • "The Big 12 has got a lot of great pass rushers. I love pass (protection). So kind of just looking at it from that aspect, it was like, ‘You know what? I can do this. I feel like I can be here.’” (17%, 36 Votes)

Rate your level of interest/concern about the naming of CU's next defensive coordinator
  • High. This is one of the most important decisions Coach Prime will make this off-season, and it has to be a good one. CU is getting better players - these players will need quality development (56%, 152 Votes)
  • Low. In Coach Prime we trust. I'm pretty confident that the new coordinator has already been chosen, and CU is just waiting for the right time to announce. Patience, Buff fans ... (24%, 64 Votes)
  • Medium. No one knows better than Coach Prime that he needs to have good coaches in the right positions, and he'll have good options for a new DC. I'm just looking for a DC with collegiate experience (20%, 56 Votes)

With transfers and opt outs - and with the playoffs expanding to 12 teams - have minor bowls lost their value?
  • Yes. And it's not just the minor bowls. With injuries, transfers and opt outs, the Orange Bowl between Georgia and Florida State, which should have been a showcase, was a joke (56%, 162 Votes)
  • No. Even with the expansion of the playoffs, there are still 120 teams who won't be playing for a title, and getting a post-season trip is a nice reward for players (and their fans) (22%, 64 Votes)
  • Well, since CU hasn't been part of the bowl discussion for a generation, it's hard to say. Get CU into the Guaranteed Rate Bowl or Pop Tarts bowl next fall, and we'll talk (22%, 61 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
