After one impressive road victory, CBS Sports has CU projected to be a bowl team (Los Angeles Bowl). Thoughts?
  • I'm just excited to be in the conversation about going bowling. After going 1-11, and looking abysmal doing so, even the thought of a bowl game is heady stuff. Just enjoying the ride ... (67%, 226 Votes)
  • CU just beat the 17th-ranked team in the nation - and on the road. Anyone who watched the TCU game knows that a bowl bid is no longer the ceiling for CU this season, but the floor (18%, 61 Votes)
  • It's great, but it's just Week One. Not to throw cold water on the issue, but CU has gone, what, 0-10 the last ten games CU had five wins and a chance at a bowl? Time will tell (15%, 51 Votes)

Will CU's victory over No. 17 TCU vault the Buffs into the Associated Press Top 25 this week?
  • Perhaps, but I'm actually kind of hoping CU will come in at No. 26 or No. 27. This team seems to run on the fuel of disrespect, and I'd like for them to take out the slight on the Cornhuskers (50%, 192 Votes)
  • No - Other than LSU (which lost to Florida State), every other ranked team won this weekend. Every ... single ... one. CU will get votes, but there won't be enough movement for CU to be ranked (36%, 136 Votes)
  • Yes - Beat a Top 25 team in their house - you deserve a spot in the poll. Other than No. 8 Florida State, which beat No. 5 LSU, who owns a win over a Top 25 team this season? Only CU (14%, 53 Votes)

Colorado 45, No. 17 TCU 42. Thoughts?
  • In-credible!!! A huge win!!! A win as a three-touchdown underdog against a ranked tam on the road? No words ... Enjoy this, Buff Nation! (64%, 301 Votes)
  • First win over a ranked team on the road since 2019 (No. 24 Arizona State), and the first win over a top 20 team on the road since 2002. This is going to be the most fun we've had in decades! (25%, 118 Votes)
  • It was a huge win for the program, but the defense did give up 541 yards and 42 points. Many shootouts to come ... I hope the Buffs can put together offensive performances like this every week (11%, 51 Votes)

It's (finally) time! Your prediction for CU at No. 17 TCU (Saturday, 10:00 a.m., MT, Fox)
  • There is no argument that CU's roster is much improved, but this is a road game against a nationally ranked opponent. Buffs beat 20.5-point spread, but still come home with an "L" (51%, 119 Votes)
  • The Buffs are continue to do what they have been doing for the past nine months under Coach Prime: Shock the college football world. Buffs are going to win this game! (42%, 98 Votes)
  • You don't completely gut a roster and completely overhaul the coaching staff and not need time to put things together. I hate having TCU as an opening opponent ... TCU covers (7%, 16 Votes)

What stood out to you about the list of former CU scholarship players, and where they are playing this fall?
  • I would just hope that someone will put these lists in front of the Coach Prime critics (and perhaps ask Narduzzi and Rhule why none of these underappreciated castoffs aren't on their rosters) (46%, 84 Votes)
  • That the list of over 50 former Buffs had only about a dozen players who landed at Power Five conference schools. Not a real surprise that CU went 1-11 last year (31%, 57 Votes)
  • That only about a half dozen players - at best - will be starting for Power Five schools, and that CU's quarterbacks of 2022 are not expected to take college football by storm this fall (23%, 42 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
