CU is 4-3, 1-3. With five games remaining, the Buffs need two more wins to become bowl-eligible. Rate CU's chances at a bowl bid in 2023
- Medium. The math is hard to make work, with CU needing to defeat at least one more ranked team (and perhaps two) to get there. Saturday's loss was a blow, but it's still possible (49%, 138 Votes)
- Low. With a win over Stanford, the Buffs would have had five chances at one win. Now, with the schedule the way it is, the path to six wins is now too steep for the Buffs (45%, 127 Votes)
- High. The Stanford loss was a tough one to take, for sure, but the bye week and some tough love will push the Buffs to at least two more wins (6%, 16 Votes)

Where do you place most of the blame for CU's historic collapse against Stanford?
- The coaching staff. They didn't have the team prepared to play the second half, and couldn't make adjustments when the Cardinal kept running the same play over and over again (61%, 189 Votes)
- I blame the hubris of the calls on offense when the game was still in hand. Two fourth down sacks gave the Cardinal short fields and momentum. Play to win the game, not to show off! (24%, 75 Votes)
- I blame the distractions. This team is all too ready to play for the camera, but aren't ready to do the dirty work and make the plays to win games. (15%, 47 Votes)

Colorado blows a 29-0 halftime lead, falling in double overtime to Stanford, 46-43. Thoughts?
- I just can't understand the hubris of going for it on fourth down at midfield - twice - and being burned by the same play and player the entire second half. This one will hurt for some time (57%, 156 Votes)
- An epic disaster similar of the fourth quarter meltdown against Kansas in 2010 and the Oregon State disaster in 2018. Both those losses coast coaches jobs - won't happen this time (28%, 78 Votes)
- With a bye week coming up, the Buffs will have to try and build off of the positives of the first half of the game, and get ready to surprise UCLA in two weeks (15%, 40 Votes)

It's time! Your prediction for Colorado v. Stanford (Friday, 8:00 p.m., MT, ESPN)
- This is CU's last best chance at a clear victory, and I think the Buffs will rise to the occasion. All three phases of the game click, and the Buffs roll into their bye week with a big win! (46%, 142 Votes)
- The last time CU was favored by more than a touchdown, CSU had an 11-point lead in the fourth quarter. It's never easy for this team, but they are tough. A CU victory, but not by double digits (37%, 113 Votes)
- CU was on the road last week, while Stanford had a bye week. The last team to have a bye to prepare for CU? CSU ... and Stanford is a better team than CSU. If they are not ready, Buffs could be upset (17%, 54 Votes)

CU men picked to finish 5th in Pac-12 preseason media poll; women picked to finish fourth. Thoughts?
- I liked Boyle's quote: “If we’re the fifth-best team in the Pac-12, the Pac-12’s pretty good this year”. Situation normal: CU disrespected yet again by the Pac-12 media (63%, 123 Votes)
- I'm happy that both the men's and women's teams have two first-team All Pac-12 performers, but, if I'm being honest, I won't check in on basketball until December (21%, 41 Votes)
- We're really in a golden age of CU basketball with both teams picked so high. Women made it to the Sweet Sixteen last year ... will both make it that far this year? (16%, 30 Votes)

The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
