CU picks up three new additions in the trenches, as the Transfer Portal begins to swing the other way. Thoughts?
  • Great additions! Remember when we used to have huge celebrations when a four-star looked our way, and now we're disappointed if a new player isn't a four-star prospect? Welcome to The Herd! (48%, 135 Votes)
  • This is just the beginning, with over a dozen roster spots remaining to be filled. It's a good start, but there are still holes to be filled, and not too many great options out there. Fingers crossed (34%, 97 Votes)
  • These new players are fine, just like the ones they replaced were fine. This game of musical chairs provides for interesting discussion, but is not a sustainable model for long-term success (18%, 50 Votes)

Coach Prime singing the praises of his new offensive line: "It’s a different game that they’re playing". Are you buying in?
  • We'll see. I would like to believe that CU has better players, but I am concerned that this unit won't be much better than last year's. I guess we'll trust in Coach Prime ... again (52%, 112 Votes)
  • Yes. The talent all along the offensive line is demonstrably better than what CU had last year. I can't wait for the season to begin, so the Buff offensive line can prove him right! (41%, 89 Votes)
  • No. Coach Prime was saying something similar last season. Those were all his guys last year, and they failed miserably. Why should we be buying in now? (7%, 16 Votes)

Which of the following was to you was the biggest CU news story of the last news cycle?
  • That CU only lost one new scholarship player to the Transfer Portal, true freshman defensive lineman Eric Brantley. Hopefully, the bleeding has stopped, and the weekend will be about new CU signees (60%, 82 Votes)
  • That CU named its new chancellor (not that there were any other candidates). I hope Dr. Justin Schwartz doesn't need a long learning curve to understand the importance of athletic success to a school (23%, 31 Votes)
  • That CU doubled its win total for the 2022 season from one to two, with ASU forfeiting its win. Just kidding ... the delay in penalties (and how little it affects ASU) are a joke (17%, 24 Votes)

Which of the following quotes from Coach Prime's press conference do you like the best?
  • "We're good. I trust the recruiting team. I trust our coaches, and please have some faith in me. We good. We all right. We all right" (55%, 105 Votes)
  • “A lot of people are fighting for backups. When a guy is a starter and he transfers, you’ve really got think about that ... I don’t think we’re losing those type of players" (27%, 52 Votes)
  • On Dylan Edwards’: “Dylan is a tremendous asset. We’re gonna try to get the ball to Dylan in all forms. Just splitting him out at times and seeing him in front of a LB out wide is a scary thought" (18%, 35 Votes)

Colorado has more transfers in the Portal (15 and counting) than any other Power Four school. Rate your level of concern
  • Medium. Losing Cormani McClain wasn't a good look, and losing a few starters is tough, but that's the way of the world these days. If CU gets upgrades in return, I'll be happy (42%, 133 Votes)
  • Low. Disregard the noise. Sure, there are a few players I would have preferred to keep, but the replacements are coming, and we'll forget about this week soon enough (34%, 109 Votes)
  • High. CU has lost its entire starting offensive line, three tight ends, and its star recruit from 2023. Doesn't look like Coach Prime knows how to keep a roster. A tough time to be a Buff (again) (24%, 76 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
