CU receives a commitment from 2024 offensive lineman Yahya Attia from the NFL Academy in London. Thoughts?
  • We're back in the "Trust Coach Prime" zone. Attia is an under-the-radar prospect (coming from England by way of Austria and Egypt - Can't get more under-the-radar if you tried) (49%, 88 Votes)
  • A 6'4", 330-pound offensive lineman - sounds good. Critics are always complaining that Coach Prime won't sign projects with huge upsides ... Well, here you go. Welcome, Mr. Attia! (30%, 53 Votes)
  • What the Hell? CU has picked up three commitments of late, and none of them have any Power Five offers. Is the CU coaching staff giving up on competing for Power Five recruits? (21%, 38 Votes)

Linebacker/safety Myles Slusher entering the Transfer Portal. Thoughts?
  • Just the first of many. The Transfer Portal will be open again from April 15th to April 30th. Buff fans need to be prepared to see some familiar names leaving. Just hope the replacements are as good (64%, 132 Votes)
  • Not a significant loss. Slusher was only able to play four games last year, and has been recruited over. Would I like to keep him? Sure, but this is not a critical loss (26%, 54 Votes)
  • A significant loss. A former four-star, Slusher was able to make plays when he was in last year (including the game-saving tackle against TCU). Slusher will be missed (10%, 20 Votes)

College Football News has Colorado finishing with a 6-6 record and bowl eligibility this fall. Thoughts?
  • I think the win total is too low. Losses to the Cornhuskers, UCF and Texas Tech? I can see at least one victory in there. Buffs getting at least seven wins in the regular season (52%, 106 Votes)
  • Sounds about right. The under/over in Las Vegas last season for CU was 3.5 wins, and the Buffs won four. This year, the under/over is 5.5, so six wins should be the goal (34%, 70 Votes)
  • The win total may be high. CFN is projecting wins against Kansas and Oklahoma State to close the season. Both teams had 9+ wins last year ... and CU never wins with bowl eligibility on the line (14%, 28 Votes)

Rate your interest in the "College Sports Tomorrow" group proposing an 80-team "Super League"
  • Medium. I agree that there needs to be a restructuring of the sport, and this is a good first step, but until the networks and the big boys (SEC/Big Ten) agree to negotiate new deals, it's just talk (46%, 70 Votes)
  • Low. Nothing can happen until the end of the decade when the TV rights contracts are up (although I did like the part where CSU, even in an 80-team league, still misses the cut) (30%, 46 Votes)
  • High. Something needs to be done to reign in the sport, and the CST group has the clout and credibility to get this much needed discussion underway (and having CU v. Nebraska every year is bonus!) (24%, 35 Votes)

Pat Rooney: Hiring of Warren Sapp a "blemish on CU's chase for football glory". Thoughts?
  • A distraction ... perhaps. Sapp brings with him credibility as an NFL Hall-of-Famer, but needs to prove himself as a coach. A graduate assistant position sounds like a good place for him to start (55%, 120 Votes)
  • Nothing in Rooney's article is anything close to being recent. I guess everyone deserves a chance to reinvent themselves ... unless they come to CU (32%, 70 Votes)
  • I have to agree. Warren Sapp has a long history of issues with the law, and no history of coaching. Style over substance for Coach Prime here (13%, 28 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
