Which storyline of the weekend do you like the best?
  • Athlon: "Colorado will once again be under the spotlight ... But this time, the Buffaloes could produce their first winning record in a full season since 2016" (57%, 86 Votes)
  • Lindy's has seven Buffs on its preseason All-Big 12 team (third-most in the conference), including three first-team All-Big 12 honorees (Sanders; Hunter; and Green) (25%, 37 Votes)
  • Warren Sapp on defensive lineman BJ Green: "He loves close contact. He loves the phone booth, which I love, because you all know who else loves working the phone booth? Superman!" (18%, 28 Votes)

Which quote from Fox announcer (and former Buff) Joel Klatt do you like the best?
  • "If they’re able to protect Shedeur Sanders … I think that Colorado can win eight games, I think they can double their win total from a year ago" (54%, 74 Votes)
  • "If they were to get into (the Big 12 championship game) they’d be 60 minutes from the college football playoff. It’s not out of the realm of possibility" (40%, 55 Votes)
  • "Was Coach Prime a success in Year One? Sanders delivered a 400 percent increase in wins - wouldn't you consider that a success?" (6%, 9 Votes)

Report: Big 12 Conference in negotiations to sell naming rights to the conference. Thoughts?
  • I would be okay with the renaming of the conference, but this translates to only $2 - $3 million per team. In a world where teams need an extra $40 million per year, the price tag is way too low (53%, 72 Votes)
  • I like it. If all it takes is to get $30 - $50 million per year for the conference is to rename the (misnamed) Big 12 the "Big Allstate Conference", I'm all in! (26%, 36 Votes)
  • Please, tell me this isn't happening. I can deal with a Big 12 which has 16 teams, but renaming the conference is stepping over the line of good taste ... and good sense (21%, 28 Votes)

Which of the following quotes are you most likely to agree with?
  • ESPN on Shedeur: "I’d like to see him work on climbing vertically in the pocket — instead of instantly tucking and running or throwing the ball out of bounds" (56%, 89 Votes)
  • Phillip Lindsay on Coach Prime: “This may be (Sanders’) last opportunity with this much attention ... Is he the right fit for the job?” (39%, 62 Votes)
  • Paul Finebaum on CU and Coach Prime: "What happened last year was generational, but it was mostly forced and created, and it was really in many ways illegitimate" (5%, 7 Votes)

Thoughts on playing two quarterbacks from the Recruiting Class of 2018 (and one from the Class of 2019)?
  • I'm just amazed at how little the NCAA has done to retain any semblance of control. An extra COVID year? Sure. But Rising could even play in 2025 ... Year Eight! The system is broken, folks (71%, 110 Votes)
  • Not really concerned. If Rising, Bowman and Jefferson were really any good ... they would be in the NFL by now, not hanging out in college, picking up their third or fourth "degrees" (24%, 38 Votes)
  • Certainly makes it more difficult. Cam Rising (Utah), Alan Bowman (Oklahoma State) and KJ Jefferson (UCF) will take advantage of any CU defensive deficiencies (5%, 8 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
