Which of the following CU road games this fall would you rate as the most difficult?
  • at Nebraska ... Yes, the Cornhuskers finished 5-7 last season, and yes, the Buffs won last year, but Nebraska and its fans have been gunning for this game for 12 months (56%, 109 Votes)
  • at Kansas ... Yes, the game is at Arrowhead, and there will be CU fans there, but Kansas is one of the favorites to win the Big 12 ... and CU isn't (26%, 50 Votes)
  • at Arizona ... Yes, Jedd Fisch left, but Fifita and T-Mac are back, and CU hasn't had too much success in Tucson. Arizona won ten games last year; CU won four. (18%, 35 Votes)

Two months out from the season opener against North Dakota State, your prediction for CU's 2024 season record
  • 6-6 or 7-5. It's a tough schedule filled with toss-up games. There will be some great moments, and some disappointments, but the Buffs get to a bowl game in 2024 (47%, 100 Votes)
  • 8-4 or higher. EA Sports, Joel Klatt and others have it right. A potent offense and a decent defense in a conference with teams CU can beat. The haters are going to hate CU in 2024 (43%, 93 Votes)
  • 4-8 or 5-7. Coach Prime has talked a good game, but I'm not sure he has put together a Power Four worthy lineup. Another tough season to be a Buff fan (10%, 21 Votes)

EA Sports College Football rankings has CU as the No. 8 offense and the No. 20 defense. Thoughts?
  • I don't know if CU's rankings should be as high as EA Sports has them, but I am really enjoying how the social media world has gone ballistic complaining about CU's ratings (50%, 69 Votes)
  • Love it. Nice to see that someone outside of Boulder has noticed last year's team is not this year's team (and certainly not the '22 team), and that teams should be rated on potential, not history (31%, 43 Votes)
  • I can certainly see that CU's offense, with the skill position talent and upgrades on the offensive line, could be seen as potent, but I don't see CU as having a Top 25 defense - at least not yet (19%, 27 Votes)

Three Buffs taken in the NFL Draft, including two in the first round. Thoughts?
  • Happy for all three, and happy to see CU's fourth-ever Top Ten pick. Great to have three more Buffs in The League, representing the black-and-gold. Congratulations, Buffs! (51%, 86 Votes)
  • Especially happy for KJ Simpson. KJ is like a basketball version of Phillip Lindsay, a Buff4Life who has overcome some adversity and has developed into a professional player (31%, 51 Votes)
  • Yes, the team set a record for wins in a season (26), but it still seems like the season was one of unfulfilled promise. Perhaps if Williams had been able to play the entire season ... (18%, 30 Votes)

CU receives a commitment from three-star offensive lineman Jay Gardenhire. Thoughts?
  • Gardenhire is 6'8", 350-pounds ... in high school. The size is there, so there is plenty of time to develop Gardenhire to be a future star. Not every recruit needs to be a plug-and-play five-star (61%, 116 Votes)
  • Just wondering if the pundits who believe Coach Prime isn't planning on being around after this year are noting a commitment from a player unlikely to see the field of play until the fall of 2026 (21%, 39 Votes)
  • Always good to see another interior lineman commitment, but the offer sheet (Pitt; Boston College) is a little weak. Hope Gardenhire develops into a star down the road (18%, 35 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
