Buffs defeat Montana State in the opener, 94-90, in double overtime. Thoughts?
- I like the resiliency the Buffs showed. Down 13 points in the second half (and five points with 53 seconds to play), the Buffs didn't fold. This bodes well for the Buffs in games to come (49%, 130 Votes)
- I'm just glad CU didn't absorb what could be called a "bad loss" when NCAA tournament bids are being considered (and glad Stuart doesn't have to hear it from his MSU friends) (39%, 104 Votes)
- It's going to be a long season. The Buffs struggled with their offense, committed too many turnovers, and the big men got into foul trouble early. The freshmen will be good ... but not right away (12%, 34 Votes)

Colorado men's basketball opens its regular season with a game against Montana State. Rate your interest in CU basketball this November:
- High. With Battey back, a Top Ten Recruiting class, and the Buffs coming off of a second-round NCAA appearance, I'm excited about the season (58%, 163 Votes)
- Medium. I'll be keeping an eye on the Buffs (is it really true that the Buffs last win over Montana State was in 1924?), then ramp up my attention after football season (34%, 95 Votes)
- Low. I'll watch college basketball after the Super Bowl, when conference races and March Madness kick in. Before that? Not so much (8%, 23 Votes)

Washington, Oregon State and Nebraska fire coordinators. Thoughts on November firings?
- I just think it's funny that Scott Frost was allowed to get rid of a number of coaches at Nebraska, while keeping his own job. Another losing season for the Cornhuskers in 2022? Love it!! (67%, 186 Votes)
- I just think it's funny that Oregon State, after giving up 37 points to CU (27 points in regulation) saw fit to fire its defensive coordinator. High praise ... or an insult? (18%, 49 Votes)
- Hmmm ... CU fired its offensive line coach and immediately saw improvement. Imagine how much better it could be if Dorrell had fired his offensive coordinator (15%, 44 Votes)

Colorado opens as a 17.0-point underdog to UCLA (Saturday, 7:00 p.m., MT, Pac-12 Networks). Thoughts?
- I can definitely see the Buffs covering the three-score spread, but I don't see the Buffs winning this game. The Buffs haven't beaten UCLA in the Rose Bowl since 2004, and aren't likely to now (46%, 154 Votes)
- Take the bet! The Buffs are figuring things out on offense, and UCLA is 120th nationally in pass defense. Buffs shock their second straight double-digit opponent (29%, 98 Votes)
- UCLA has had a bye week to get rested and prepared, and Colorado on the road is, well, not a pretty sight. Glad to see the Buffs pick up the win over Oregon State, but UCLA is a much better opponent (25%, 82 Votes)

Colorado 37, Oregon State 34, 2OT. Thoughts?
- A great game! The Buffs had several chances to lose the game, but kept it together and pulled out a win. Huge victory for the program! (54%, 220 Votes)
- Let's worry about tomorrow tomorrow. I'm going to take the extra hour afforded by Daylight Savings to enjoy this one a little bit longer (28%, 115 Votes)
- Nice win for the players, but questionable coaching moves put the game in jeopardy. Enjoy it, Buff fans, because this may be the last win for awhile (18%, 72 Votes)

The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
