It's time! Your prediction for the Rocky Mountain Showdown - CU (-7.0) at CSU (5:30 p.m., MT, CBS)
  • Another tough game for the Buff Nation and their ulcers. The Buffs will win, but they will make their fans wait until the fourth quarter to pull out another close victory (41%, 94 Votes)
  • This is a get well game for the Buffs. There were reasons that everyone saw the Buffs as a borderline bowl team. The ship gets righted, and the Buffs pull away for a double-digit win (35%, 81 Votes)
  • The Nebraska game showed that Coach Prime's second effort at building an offensive line from scratch is another bust. Another rival gets up for playing the Buffs, and takes them down. CSU wins (24%, 56 Votes)

Colorado State one of four teams joining the "Pac-12". Thoughts?
  • Good for the Rams. Other than this week, I don't hate / don't pay attention to the Rams, so if they can take a (small) step up, then good for them (60%, 117 Votes)
  • Anyone notice that, of the current "Pac-6" (CSU, Boise State, Fresno State, San Diego State, Oregon State and Washington State), that CSU is the clear "No. 6" team? (25%, 48 Votes)
  • Don't care, but don't like the timing. It would have been better if the rivalry had gone into its hiatus before the announcement. Now we have to hear about CSU's "big move" during the game (15%, 29 Votes)

Which factoid of the week to you is the most notable?
  • That the receivers covered by Travis Hunter have only been targeted six times in the first two games of the season, with only 21 yards surrendered (48%, 74 Votes)
  • That with the Baylor game to be televised by Fox, CU will have games on all four major college football networks (ESPN, NBC, CBS Fox) in one season ... and the Buffs have pulled it off in four games (34%, 53 Votes)
  • That the CU/Nebraska game had an audience of 6.3 million. Entering the second season of Big Ten Saturdays, the Buff/Cornhusker game is the most watched of any Saturday night NBC game (18%, 27 Votes)

What to you is the most important problem CU needs to work on during CSU Week?
  • The offensive line needs to get its act together. No rushing attack, while Shedeur is running for his life on passing plays. It can't be like last year ... it just can't (63%, 171 Votes)
  • The CU game plan. If the CU offense continues to (unsuccessfully) run RPO's, and the defense (like last year) allows the shallow cross to Tory Horton, the Buffs could lose Saturday (34%, 92 Votes)
  • The defense needs to decide to play in the first half. Six points allowed in the second half of two games ... but 48 in the first half. Come to play early, defense, or CU might lose this game (3%, 10 Votes)

The Homecoming game time has been set - CU v. Baylor, 6:00 p.m., MT, Fox. Thoughts?
  • It's okay. Would still prefer to have a mid-afternoon start, but if the choices are 10:00 a.m., 6:00 p.m., or 8:30 p.m., I'll take the 6:00 p.m. kickoff every time (39%, 69 Votes)
  • Did you notice that CU - for the first time in school history - will have games on ESPN, Fox, CBS and NBC in the same season? The Coach Prime may be turning some off ... but CU is still a draw (33%, 59 Votes)
  • Love it! A fall evening for the White Out. Plenty of time for tailgating, but with the game finished before midnight. I'm in! (28%, 50 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
