CU's projected over/under projected win total of 3.5 wins is tied for the second-lowest in the Power Five. Thoughts?
  • Time to hop onto SportsBetting's website and place a bet. I don't know how many wins CU will post in Year One under Coach Prime, but it will definitely be four or more (45%, 127 Votes)
  • Not quite ready to say. There are another 10-15 new Buffs to add to the roster. My prediction could hinge on how the Buffs do in filling out the roster (35%, 99 Votes)
  • Sounds about right, if we're being honest. CU will be much improved, but the hill CU has to climb is so steep, this schedule may keep CU in the 3-4 win range (20%, 57 Votes)

What is your take on the four new transfer commitments CU received over the weekend?
  • A four-star defensive tackle and a four-star wide receiver, together with grad transfers at OL and DB? It's incredible the way this coaching staff is building this program (50%, 180 Votes)
  • Very happy to get Bishop Thomas to help plug the defensive front, and I trust that Jaylen Harris will help the wide receiver room. Not a bad weekend (33%, 117 Votes)
  • Rodrick Ward and Reggie Young are reaches (Utah State? Liberty?), Bishop Thomas has two games of experience, and Jaylen Ellis is yet another WR (don't we have enough?). In Prime we trust (I guess) (17%, 60 Votes)

Rate your level of concern about the lack of any news concerning the Pac-12 media deal
  • High. The Big 12's contract was set to end a year after the Pac-12's, but the Big 12 swooped in and got deals from ESPN and Fox. The lack of news is bad news for the Pac-12 and its fans (42%, 106 Votes)
  • Low. It will happen when it happens. The contract doesn't run out until June, 2024. No other conference is in negotiations, so there is no rush. Get the best deal possible, whenever it comes (32%, 80 Votes)
  • Medium. We were supposed to hear something at the Pac-12 men's basketball tournament, then at the conference meetings ... now there is no news of a deadline. It would be nice to get this done (26%, 64 Votes)

Looking at the CU roster, and the 17 scholarships Coach Prime has to offer, what is the most glaring need?
  • Defensive line. Some quality transfers have been brought in, but this unit remains woefully thin. It won't matter how many quality DB's CU has if every opponent can run the ball at will (41%, 96 Votes)
  • Offensive line. With defections of two of last years starters, there is a need to bolster this group - the weakest link on the offense (31%, 72 Votes)
  • Backup quarterback. I understand CU is looking for a unicorn - a quality quarterback willing to sit behind Shedeur Sanders - but having two true freshmen as your backups is untenable (26%, 60 Votes)
  • Linebackers. The two starters - and two of the best defenders - graduated. CU has a great deal of unproven talent in this unit. Help wanted sign is up! (2%, 7 Votes)

CU picks up a commitment from Marshall wide receiver EJ Horton. Thoughts?
  • I'm happy to welcome anyone the Coach Prime staff brings in, but every new skill position player signed is another lost scholarship which could have been used on a lineman (41%, 104 Votes)
  • Offers in the Transfer Portal from BYU, Cal and Ole Miss, and a track star (7.01 in the 60). Very excited about this commitment. Welcome, Mr. Horton!! (32%, 80 Votes)
  • A two-star prospect out of high school with offers from Alabama State and Kent State. I'm calling it - this is a reach, and is not a better receiver than many of the receivers CU lost in the Portal (27%, 69 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
