Now that the dust is settling a little on the future of CU, the Pac-12, and the Big 12, what are your thoughts about the 2024 season and beyond?
- Excited. CU will be out from underneath the shadows of USC, Oregon and Washington (not to mention Texas and Oklahoma), and will quickly be in position to compete for a conference title (41%, 133 Votes)
- Not that interested, to tell the truth. Nothing is going to happen until 2024, and CU has an exciting 2023 campaign with Coach Prime to play. Let's worry about 2024 after the calendar turns (37%, 121 Votes)
- Upset. It should have never come to this. Greed, mismanagement and disregard for the fans has brought an end to a pillar of college football. I'm sad CU played a role in the demise of the Pac-12 (22%, 71 Votes)

Which of the eight teams leaving the Pac-12 conference had the worst day on "Black Friday"?
- Utah - Like Arizona State, Utah didn't want to leave the Pac-12. The Utes are two-time defending champions - of a now-defunct league. Plus, they now have to play hated rival BYU every year (39%, 87 Votes)
- Arizona State - ASU President Michael Crow fought to the end to keep the Pac-12 together, and, in the end, had to eat "crow" and go hat in hand to beg the Big 12 for an offer of membership (33%, 73 Votes)
- Oregon - The Ducks had the chance to keep the conference together. Had Oregon stayed, there would have been at least a nine-team conference. Oregon will be remembered as the school which ended the Pac (28%, 62 Votes)

Which to you is the biggest story of August 4, 2023 - the day the Pac-12 officially crumbled?
- That the Big 12 will now be a Big 16, with the Four Corner schools given the chance at surviving until the next round of realignment. Glad CU jumped first, and didn't have to sweat out an invitation (46%, 114 Votes)
- That the four orphan schools - the Bay Area schools, WSU and OSU - were left out in the cold by the Oregon/Washington move. So much for loyalty. Apple Cup and Civil War should be fun this fall (33%, 82 Votes)
- That Oregon was willing to take less than a full share (how much TBD) to be the straw which broke the Pac-12's back. The Ducks had an easier path to the CFP in the Pac-12, but chose to leave (21%, 53 Votes)

If the Pac-12 implodes, and joins the old Southwest Conference in the history books, who bears the lion's share of the blame?
- Pac-12 Commissioners Larry Scott and George Kliavkoff. Scott set the table with a decade of mismanagement, and Kliavkoff didn't do enough to keep the conference together (69%, 229 Votes)
- USC and UCLA for leaving. While not the straw that broke the camel's back, none of the other schools would have had to go looking around for a new conference (29%, 97 Votes)
- The Four Corner schools or the Oregon/Washington block. Whichever group blinks first, and votes to leave the conference, the Pac-12 sinks below nine teams, and it's time to turn out the lights (2%, 5 Votes)
Start Date: August 3, 2023 @ 4:12 pm
End Date: No Expiry
Prediction Time: What will happen with the Four Corner schools and the Pac-12?
- The Four Corner schools - the three remaining, anyway - will join CU in the Big 12, forming a 16-team conference, setting the stage for the Big Ten to take four schools of its own (63%, 182 Votes)
- Only Arizona will leave, which will put a stop to Oregon and Washington leaving for the Big Ten for now, as the Big Ten doesn't want to be seen as the home-wrecker which brought down the Pac-12 (25%, 72 Votes)
- None of the other Four Corner schools will leave, and the Pac-9 will turn its attention toward expansion, taking 1-3 Mountain West schools to get back to full strength (12%, 37 Votes)
Start Date: August 2, 2023 @ 5:13 pm

The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
