What is your prediction for the role Shedeur Sanders will play with the Cleveland Browns this fall
  • Backup, but perhaps starting by the end of the year. There are a number of quarterbacks on the roster, and it will take time for Shedeur to get through the weeds and get on the field (67%, 2 Votes)
  • First things first. As a fifth round draft pick, Shedeur's first role is to make the team. On a team with five quarterbacks, I'm just hoping he makes the 53-man roster this year (33%, 1 Votes)
  • Starter. Perhaps not Game One, but Shedeur will show his talent, and the Browns coaching staff will see in Camp why Shedeur was a projected Top Ten pick (0%, 0 Votes)

Has it hurt CU's Transfer Portal Class - coming and going - to have Coach Prime in Texas during the NFL Draft?
  • It doesn't matter what we think. Coach Prime and his sons have been probably been pointing towards this weekend for over a decade. Who are we to not let them enjoy the moment? (36%, 72 Votes)
  • No. We are just now hitting the end of the Spring Transfer Portal window. CU has until early June to add to the Transfer Portal Class, so the Buff Nation just needs to relax (35%, 70 Votes)
  • Yes. CU lost a few starters in the final days of the Transfer Portal, has zero Class of 2026 Recruits, and only four new players. Time for Coach to pay attention to the 2025 team (29%, 56 Votes)

Which of the following stat from the 2025 NFL Draft to you is the most significant?
  • That Colorado had four picks in the Draft. While that may not sound like a big total, it's the most for CU since 2017, and welcome after being shut out the last three drafts (46%, 85 Votes)
  • That Shedeur Sanders fell to the fifth round (144th overall), the sixth quarterback taken. Hopefully, he will put the slight to good use, put his head down, and do the work to surprise the NFL (35%, 66 Votes)
  • That Travis Hunter was the second overall pick, tied for the highest pick in CU history, and the highest-ever cornerback pick in NFL history. A great PR moment for Colorado football (19%, 35 Votes)

Which of following late week storylines do you think will have the longest lasting impact?
  • That the Spring Transfer Portal window closed with only 12 Buffs leaving. There were a few potential starters, but most were freshmen who never played a down at CU. Roster retention is the new normal (46%, 80 Votes)
  • That Shedeur Sanders wasn't drafted in the first round of the NFL Draft. Either haters will be proven right ... or Shedeur will go on a league-wide revenge tour against the teams who passed on him (38%, 67 Votes)
  • That Jacksonville traded up to get Travis Hunter. A Georgia native, Travis will now get to play the next few seasons in northern Florida, instead of northern Ohio. A big win for the Heisman winner! (16%, 28 Votes)

Rate your level of interest in the NFL Draft this weekend
  • Medium. My interest in how the first round plays out is high, and I'll certainly be checking things out on Saturday, but it won't be a priority for my weekend (41%, 59 Votes)
  • High. First round draft picks? Buffs given serious consideration in later rounds? Oh, and I want to keep on my NFL team and its rivals. I'll be watching closely (34%, 49 Votes)
  • Low. It's important that former Buffs get drafted, but the emphasis should be on the former. I'm more interested in the 2025 CU team at this point. Time to turn the page and get ready for the fall (25%, 35 Votes)

  1. Stuart:

I like the question about SS’s negative coverage. Personally, I think the see-saw coverage is mostly about “stirring the pot” and/or getting clicks. SS is this year’s draft soap opera–a love/hate fest For one negative story there is a more positive one. Some stories are just hit jobs (anonymous NFL assistant/exec), others just cover every minutia of his life. Yesterday, Kiper has him still going early.

SS is an intriguing draftee warranting discussion, however the extensive overall coverage on every detail for one QB prospect seems over the top. NFL teams have their draft boards, needs, and evaluations and they make decisions based upon that. I’ll be glad when SS and TH are picked today and the focus will be on our team.

  2. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  3. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  4. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
