CU At The Game Podcast – CU “Manager for a Day”: Filling out CU’s 2025 Roster
—
I am joined for this special episode by Brad Geiger, and we are donning our CU “General Manager for a Day” hats, and are going to do our best to predict how Coach Prime and his coaching staff will fill out CU’s existing roster.
The parameters … There are 75 scholarship players on the roster to date, with the Buffs likely to add at least ten new transfers come April. We operate under the assumption that any defections from the current roster – and there will be – will be filled by similarly talented players. Our aim with this episode is to add the next ten players – and do so within a budget.
We are giving ourselves a $2 million budget with which to “buy” up to ten new players, with $300,000 available for a Power Four transfer starter; $200,000 for a Group of Five transfer starter; and $100,000 for a flyer on an FCS transfer.
With this exercise, we are forced to prioritize which position groups are most in need of augmentation, and which position rooms on the roster are pretty well set for the fall.
Brad and I had fun trying our best fill in CU’s 2025 roster – and stay under budget. Will you agree with our priorities?
Let’s find out …
