CU At The Game Podcast – Spring Practices: Burning Questions/Position Battles

Welcome to the opening of the 2025 college football season! I am joined for this episode by Brad Geiger and Neil Langland, and we here to talk about CU spring football.

There will be 15 practices leading up to the Spring Showcase in Boulder on Saturday, April 19th. With this podcast, we hope to give some insights as to the burning questions of the spring, as well as the position battles which will be the most intriguing.

There will be plenty of stories about the battle for the starting quarterback position between Kaidon Salter and Julian Lewis, but there are any number of other storylines to follow as the Buffs are back in pads.

Which units are the deepest – and in fear of losing talent to the Transfer Portal? And which positions are most in need of a solid spring?

Let’s find out …

  1. so how much longer do we wait for the coach speak on practice progress? Aside from the scripted generic it s nice to hear which players are shining. Last season, however, it seems that the players Prime heaped the most praise on either left the team or remained on the bench. Maybe this is to keep the guys who are really in the mix from getting a swelled head and slacking off?
