CU at the Game Podcast – Episode 5: Road Trip to College Station and Texas A&M

Welcome to the fifth episode of the CU at the Game Podcast. With this episode, I am introducing a new series: “Road Trips“. Over the past 40 years, I have had the opportunity to follow our Buffs to the four corners of the continental U.S. – from Seattle to Miami; from Los Angeles to Boston. On most of those trips, I have been accompanied by my best friend, Brad Geiger.

We start with College Station and Texas A&M … (hopefully) CU’s opponent on September 19th. In 2008, Brad and I had the opportunity to travel to College Station for CU’s game against the Texas A&M Aggies. We took in Midnight Yell Practice at Kyle Field, after a fine dinner (and an encounter with some Aggie fans) at the world famous Dixie Chicken. Also in this episode: The history behind the 12th man, Reveille … and a celebration of the Aggie Band.

— Here is my story for the game … November 1, 2008 … Texas A&M 24, Colorado 17

I hope you enjoy it! I look forward to your comments!

Program Note … I will be posting new podcasts on a bi-weekly schedule until we get back to having some idea about how this upcoming season will be playing out. Look for a new Mailbag podcast in mid-May. If you have any questions about your Buffs, be they about practices, recruiting, budgeting, roster battles, etc., just drop me an email at cuatthegame@gmail.com, and I’ll do my best to get you an answer.

In addition to accessing the podcast below, the CU at the Game Podcast is also now available on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Stitcher, and Google Podcasts, as well as other sites. Don’t forget to subscribe to the podcast, and, if so inclined, leave a (five-star!) rating.

Thanks!

Stuart
