Which of the following news releases to you was the most "eye-brow raising"?
- That CU announced that Nebraska and Stanford games have been sold out. Nebraska, sure, but Stanford sold out before CSU or USC? What am I missing here? (39%, 67 Votes)
- That the preseason Pac-12 media poll has USC 1st; two-time defending champion Utah 3rd; and Colorado 11th. Not much thought going into these selections - relying on old biases (33%, 57 Votes)
- That Athlon Sports is predicting that the Pac-12 won't have enough bowl eligible teams to fill all of the conference's bowl contracts. If CU can survive September, a bowl bid is there for the taking (28%, 47 Votes)

Coach Prime to miss the Pac-12 Media Day while recovering from follow up surgery. Thoughts?
- Just glad - and appreciate - that Coach Prime is getting his surgeries out of the way during the silly season, and will be available for Fall Camp. Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Coach! (79%, 181 Votes)
- Much ado about nothing. Media Days were a big deal in the pre-internet days, when beat writers could meet with coaches and players from other schools. Now? It's just another round of interviews (11%, 26 Votes)
- It will be interesting to see how the national media plays this. Are they going to spin it that Coach Prime may not be able to fulfill his duties as head coach? Or that he is ducking media questions? (10%, 21 Votes)

Rick George's tenure as the athletic director reaches ten years. What grade would you give George for his time at CU?
- A "B" ... The Champions Center and the hiring of Coach Prime are home runs (and the basketball teams are doing well), but two winning seasons for the football team in ten years can't be ignored (58%, 154 Votes)
- An "A" ... Two words: "Champions Center". CU hadn't raised $15 million in a year - George raised $105 million in three years. CU would be in relegation territory without the upgrade in facilities (25%, 66 Votes)
- A "C" ... Two winning seasons in ten football seasons? A Pac-12 afterthought? If this poll was taken eight months ago, the grade would be a "D" or an "F". Fingers crossed for a quick rebound (17%, 46 Votes)

Which of the following Pac-12 coaches (rated as "all good for now" by CBS Sports) do you think will be the first to be fired (or move on)?
- Chip Kelly, UCLA ... It won't happen this year, but the Bruins are going to be - pardon the phrase - out of their league in the Big Ten. It won't be long until Kelly retires ... or is shown the door (56%, 106 Votes)
- Jonathan Smith, Oregon State ... The Beavers are also overachievers, but Smith is proving himself to be more than capable. He won't be fired ... he'll be hired away by a better school (23%, 44 Votes)
- Jake Dickert, Washington State ... The Cougars have been overachievers, but that will be more and more difficult with the Cougars appearing to be an odd-man out in upcoming realignment (12%, 22 Votes)
- Jedd Fisch, Arizona ... There was improvement between Years 1 and 2, but there might be a slide in the coming years (or a series of 5-7 seasons), leading to a search for something better (9%, 17 Votes)

Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables: “You know, I gave guys twelve months of grace. I was unlike Deion (Sanders). I gave guys 12 months of grace to figure it out". Thoughts?
- It is going to be an interesting season. Either these critics are going to be saying, "I told you so" ... or eating their words. The season can't get here soon enough, so we can find out (44%, 109 Votes)
- What a jerk. So ... Coach Prime was supposed to take the worst Power Five team - by a wide margin - and give players a year to try and prove themselves? What a joke (29%, 73 Votes)
- Just wondering how well this philosophy worked out for Veneables. Despite having a roster loaded with four- and five-star players, he went 6-7 last year. Perhaps he should have tried Prime's method (27%, 68 Votes)

The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
