Which of the following CU sporting events on Thursday to you is the most important?
- CU men at Oregon (7:00 p.m., MT, ESPN2). If the Buffs can sweep the Ducks, they'll earn a No. 3 seed at the Pac-12 tournament next week. A loss, and the Buffs might lose their bye (and an NCAA bid) (64%, 115 Votes)
- No. 18 CU women v. No. 13 Oregon State (1:00 p.m., MT, Pac-12 Networks). A revenge win in the quarterfinals could vault CU back into the Top 16, giving the Buffs home court advantage in the NCAAs (20%, 35 Votes)
- The CU ski team competing in Day Two of the NCAA championships (cubuffs.com/sports/2024/2/14/). The Buffs are in second after a tough Day One, but have been dominating Nordic events all season (16%, 29 Votes)

Would you rank Deion Sanders on your list of Top 25 college head coaches?
- No. Top 25 in hype? Yes. Top 25 in self-promotion? Definitely. Top 25 in turning over a roster? Sure. But top coaches win their games, and Coach Prime hasn't shown he can ... yet (42%, 88 Votes)
- Hard to decide. It's hard to put Coach Prime in a Top 25 just yet, but if Stewart Mandel has six Big 12 coaches on his list (including three in the Top Ten), then Coach Prime is getting close (33%, 69 Votes)
- Yes. What Coach Prime has done with the CU program is just this side of amazing. You can't measure an impact on a program just be wins and losses ... Doubters, be prepared to be silenced this fall! (25%, 55 Votes)

CU defeats Stanford for fourth straight victory. Rate CU's chances of making the NCAA tournament
- Medium. Holding serve at home is one thing, but it may take a win in Eugene at Oregon to punch CU's ticket. Optimism is returning, but work still needs to be done (72%, 166 Votes)
- Low. Yes, CU has won 20 games, and has lost only one game at home. Guess what? CU has no more home games ... that is, until the NIT, which is where CU will end up (again) (17%, 38 Votes)
- High. The Buffs are at worst a bubble team right now, and are playing well (even without Cody Williams and Julian Hammond. If those two come back, CU could still make some noise in March Madness (11%, 25 Votes)

ESPN has Shedeur Sanders as the No. 8 Quarterback in the nation (No. 3 in the Big 12). Thoughts?
- Depends on the criteria. If you are talking about sheer talent, or NFL draft-ability, Shedeur is your guy. If you are talking about leading teams to wins ... Shedeur remains a To-Be-Determined (59%, 121 Votes)
- Too low. Jaylon Daniels (Kansas) and Noah Fifita (Arizona) had nine- and ten-win seasons last year, but they had better supporting casts. Anyone really want to take either of those two over Shedeur? (33%, 67 Votes)
- Too high. Every other quarterback in the Top Ten list plays for teams with winning records (most with double-digit wins on their resumes). Shedeur has some work to do to make this list (8%, 18 Votes)

Which college football playoff model to you would be the best for your Buffs?
- A 16-team playoff. We all know we are going to get there eventually, so let's just push it out to 16 and be done with it. Start the season in mid-August, and have two rounds at home sites (45%, 61 Votes)
- The 12-team 5-7 model which will be in place for the next two seasons. The Big 12 champ is in, with seven spots open for a Buff run to the playoffs with a 10-2 record (and a national following) (31%, 42 Votes)
- A 20-team playoff. It worked well for the FCS for years. The the top 12 teams get byes, with eight teams playing in to get to the Sweet Sixteen. May have to give up a regular season game, but worth it (13%, 18 Votes)
- A 14-team playoff, but only if the 3-3-2-2-1 model is scraped. Have the Power Four and best G-5 get in, with the CU and everyone else getting a shot at one of nine open wild-card openings (11%, 14 Votes)

The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
