As we head into Memorial Day weekend, rate the odds of Colorado playing Colorado State on Labor Day weekend
  • Medium. There are still any number of variables at work here. It seems more likely than it did a few weeks ago, but I'm still not convinced its going to happen (at least on September 5th) (48%, 113 Votes)
  • High. Teams are already getting permission to head back to campus for workouts. By September, we'll have this figured out, and the Buffs will be playing the Rams (28%, 67 Votes)
  • Low. The NCAA allowing for workouts is just the first of many hurdles for football being played. I can see non-conference games being post-poned, or even canceled (24%, 57 Votes)

If CU announced it was going to play its home games as planned this fall, would you go?
  • Yes. Assuming that proper precautions are being taken, I'm all in on going to see my Buffs at Folsom! (41%, 113 Votes)
  • Maybe ... The past month has seen significant advances. If progress continues on its current pace, I would definitely consider attending games this fall (29%, 80 Votes)
  • No ... but that's because I don't attend football games (distance, cost, etc.) anyway (16%, 44 Votes)
  • No. Even if the school says its safe, I can't see being in a crowd of 50,000 anytime soon. I would take a pass on attending any sporting events this fall (14%, 39 Votes)

Which was the biggest story coming out of Colorado on Tuesday?
  • That CU legend Ceal Barry announced her retirement. Almost 40 years as a Buff, Ceal went first-class in everything she did, and truly bled black-and-gold (47%, 86 Votes)
  • That Colorado governor Jared Polis said he felt there would be a way to let some fans attend games while keeping social distancing guidelines (38%, 69 Votes)
  • That the CU football team was 103rd in the nation (11th in the Pac-12) in APR scores ... though somewhat forgivable considering the Buffs went through three coaches in 13 months (15%, 28 Votes)

Which of Jon Wilner's numbers adds the most credibility to the argument that college football will be played by the Pac-12 this fall?
  • 0 ... As in the number of Covid-19 deaths reported by the CDC for ages 15-24 in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Oregon, Utah and Washington (53%, 91 Votes)
  • 300 ... As in 300 million dollars, on average, Pac-12 schools will lose if students are not on campus this fall (31%, 54 Votes)
  • 80 ... As in the percentage of athletic budgets which are dependent (media, ticket sales, donations) on football. No football = massive cuts for Olympic sports (16%, 27 Votes)

Start Date: May 18, 2020 @ 5:07 pm
End Date: No Expiry

Pat Howell: A regional conference schedule for CU in 2020 "could be fun". Your thoughts?
  • I could see it, but if - and only if - the rest of the nation is doing something similar, or if California (and/or Oregon and Arizona) shut down and a number of Pac-12 schools aren't playing at all (63%, 128 Votes)
  • Definitely disagree. CU, with its record the past 15 years, is already considered to be a lower rung Power Five school. A schedule against almost all Mountain West schools? Very bad optics (26%, 53 Votes)
  • Agree. Playing CSU, Air Force, and Wyoming would generate great local interest, as would games against Utah, BYU and Boise State (11%, 21 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
