The most interesting news story on a busy day for college football ...
- That there is a chance, with the Oregon home-and-home being flipped for the 2020/21 seasons, that CU will have eight home games next year (still seven even if the A&M game is moved to Denver) (41%, 83 Votes)
- That there are allegations that CSU coaches are covering up COVID reports. The Rams were already on a "pause", but it sounds as if the coaches are being accused of trying to ignore an outbreak (31%, 63 Votes)
- That Colorado high school football will be played in the spring. Not that CU has many in-state recruits for the Class of 2021, but we'll see which players opt out of their senior years (24%, 48 Votes)
- That the Big 12 will play a ten-game schedule with one non-conference game. After all of the bluster about playing August 29th, the Big 12 has fallen in line with everyone else (4%, 7 Votes)

CU picks up a quarterback commitment from three-star dual-threat QB Drew Carter. Thoughts?
- With the lack of depth at the position, I'm just excited to have a quarterback recruit in the fold (oh, and getting a commitment from the nation's No. 1 kicker doesn't hurt, either) (54%, 158 Votes)
- A four-year starter at QB in high school, with enough athletic talent to be recruited by Tad Boyle to play for the men's basketball team? Very excited about this recruit! (24%, 72 Votes)
- Umm ... He's from Portland, but didn't have any other Power Five offers. Fingers crossed, but this sounds like a high-level Mountain West quarterback prospect to me (22%, 64 Votes)

A group of Pac-12 players threaten to sit out 2020 season unless demands are met. Thoughts?
- Like any negotiation, you start high and settle somewhere in the middle. I'm just hopeful that calmer heads prevail. There are enough obstacles in the way of playing football - we don't need more (48%, 118 Votes)
- You're kidding, right? A 50/50 split of revenue, and a total of 12 years of medical coverage? I guess a free education and better medical care than 90% of the population isn't good enough anymore. (47%, 115 Votes)
- Just like the Name, Image and Likeness debate has gone the players' way, this will be an extension of players' rights. They won't get everything, but they'll get most of what they are asking for (5%, 14 Votes)

It's August! Rate the chances of CU traveling to Eugene to face Oregon in its Pac-12 opener on September 26th
- Poor. California schools aren't cleared to even practice, much less play. And now the players are threatening a boycott? Sorry, but I'm not seeing football this fall (51%, 122 Votes)
- Medium. There are still a number of hurdles to be cleared, but the Pac-12 seems to be taking all of the necessary steps to make football a reality this fall (40%, 96 Votes)
- High. It's almost two months before the start of the season, so there is time to work things out. Athletic departments need football to be played ... and it will (9%, 23 Votes)
Start Date: August 1, 2020 @ 4:56 pm

The Pac-12 has announced its revised schedule, with CU adding Oregon State, and traveling to Oregon. Thoughts?
- Assuming that there will be few, if any fans, starting on the road early may not hurt as much as finishing the season with winnable games will help. Fingers crossed! (50%, 96 Votes)
- Are you freakin' kidding me? Opening against Oregon and Utah? Three of the first games on the road? Thanks for nothing, Pac-12 (34%, 65 Votes)
- I like it. The Oregon game was likely a loss anyway, so moving it to Eugene isn't a net loss. Picking up a home game against Oregon State, meanwhile, is a good chance at a win (16%, 32 Votes)

The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
