If you were CU athletic director Rick George, what would you do now?
  • I would work behind the scenes to find a workable solution, so that the Buffs can get back to practice as soon as possible (46%, 125 Votes)
  • I would point out that CU athletes are the best-tested, least-at-risk group in Boulder, pack my bags, and take the team out of the county for practices (44%, 120 Votes)
  • I would acknowledge that Boulder is the one Power-Five conference town not finding a way to work with their teams, shut down the department, and see how the Boulder economy likes the lost revenue (10%, 28 Votes)

With six weeks before the first Pac-12 game, what is your current interest in watching college football?
  • Medium. I will follow college football as a creature of habit, but won't really start giving college football my full attention until November (39%, 81 Votes)
  • High. I love college football, and, with three Power-Five conferences playing, there is some good football to watch (31%, 63 Votes)
  • Low. I am in this for my Buffs and the Pac-12. Once the Buffs are on the field - even though I can't be in the stands - I will be back (30%, 62 Votes)

The Boulder County Public Health Office has issued an Order preventing CU from practicing for at least two weeks. Thoughts?
  • I don't care ... as long as the Buffs can find a way to practice. Either the restrictions need to be lifted, or CU needs to find a work-around. Either way, the Buffs can't be left behind (again) (53%, 102 Votes)
  • It's all political. The governor of Oregon said she would make sure that her state schools would not be "at a competitive disadvantage", and got permission for those teams to play (28%, 53 Votes)
  • It's not political. Boulder has seen an outbreak of cases, and shutting down the 18-22 year olds is the logical means by which to stem the tide of positive cases (19%, 36 Votes)

Pac-12 votes for six-game schedule (plus championship game weekend) beginning November 7th. Thoughts?
  • Would have been happy today ... if not for the Boulder County announcement. Now, the rest of the Pac-12 can practice, but CU can't. Karl Dorrell can't buy a break (70%, 184 Votes)
  • Glad to get things going. It will be interesting to see how they put the schedule. Division games plus one-crossover game? Can't wait to see the schedule - Go Buffs! (13%, 33 Votes)
  • It's a joke. A six/seven-game conference schedule won't get the Pac-12 into the College Football Playoff. I feel sorry for the players, who will get in half of a season (in front of zero fans) (12%, 31 Votes)
  • They shouldn't have put $$ ahead of safety. No CFP, so this is all about getting the New Year's Six money (5%, 13 Votes)

Pac-12 Board of Governors to vote Thursday on how the Pac-12 can resume play this fall. Your prediction?
  • Games to begin November 7th ... Since the Pac-12 wasn't gearing up to play this fall (until last week when the Big Ten reversed course), it will take an extra week to get the teams on the field (45%, 95 Votes)
  • Games to begin October 24th ... though not necessarily every team will play. There may be some allowance for non-California teams to start early and have a bye week or a non-conference game (29%, 60 Votes)
  • They will either vote to keep the suspension until January 1st, or put in so many restrictions that games won't be able to be played. The Pac-12 will show its true colors (26%, 55 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
