Pac-12 media poll has CU finishing fifth in the Pac-12 South. Thoughts?
  • Sounds about right. CU hasn't been practicing, has a new staff, and will start a new quarterback (I'm actually surprised that CU wasn't picked to finish last) (49%, 102 Votes)
  • I just find it depressing that, in 10 years in the Pac-12, the Buffs have been picked to finish higher than last only three times - and finished last when picked to finish 4th ('17) and 5th ('18) (30%, 63 Votes)
  • Too low. Arizona is a dumpster fire, and the Buffs get UCLA at home (plus a game against 4-8 Stanford). Buffs to finish fourth in the Pac-12 South ... or better! (21%, 45 Votes)

CU to receive $1.625 million over five years from PointsBet. Thoughts on the contract details?
  • Actually, what I like best is that CU is the first in the nation with such a deal. Unlike the Pac-12 as a whole, CU is being a leader, not a follower (66%, 122 Votes)
  • Love it ... A minimum of $1.625 million, with an extra $30 for new customers using CU's promotional code ... at a time when every dollar counts. Well done, CU! (19%, 36 Votes)
  • Not a fan. The NCAA has enough issues with Name, Image and Likeness issues without putting promoted gambling into the mix. CU is sending mixed signals to its athletes (15%, 27 Votes)

SportsBetting.ag has set the over/under for CU wins this fall at 1.5. Would you take the bet?
  • Yes. The Buffs are going to surprise this year. They are not going to win the division, but they are going to win at least two games (52%, 120 Votes)
  • It depends ... are we assuming that the Buffs will get to play all seven games. If they play all seven games, then take the bet, but I'm not sure they will (26%, 59 Votes)
  • No. As much as we would like to sugar-coat it, a new coach, a new quarterback, and no practices is a lethal combination (22%, 52 Votes)

Initial reaction to CU's 2020 revised schedule - pick CU's final regular season record:
  • 4-3 or 3-4 ... I can see wins over the likes of Stanford, UCLA and Arizona (all 4-8 last season), but to get to a winning season, it will take an upset (47%, 123 Votes)
  • 2-5 or 1-6 ... Fans forget that this is a new staff which hasn't had any practices ... and a starting quarterback with no experience. It's going to be a rough fall/winter (41%, 106 Votes)
  • 6-1 or 5-2 ... The Pac-12 South is down, and Stanford went 4-8 last season. There are wins there for the taking (8%, 21 Votes)
  • 7-0 and off to the College Football Playoff - Everyone is undefeated until proven otherwise (4%, 9 Votes)

Pac-12 schedule announced, with CU opening with UCLA; getting Stanford as its cross-over game. Thoughts?
  • Love it! The Buffs get to open at home (against a 4-8 team from last year), and its cross-over game is against a 4-8 team. Can't get much better than that (42%, 81 Votes)
  • Glad to have the schedule released, but, as we speak, the Buffs can't even practice. I'll believe it when I see it (32%, 62 Votes)
  • It's all optimism now, but the Buffs are still a team with three straight 5-7 records and a no established quarterback. CU has more problems than the schedule (26%, 52 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
