What for you was the most "interesting" news from Wednesday?
  • That Tad Boyle signed four players for the Recruiting Class of 2020, a Class which is ranked in the Top 20 nationally by both Rivals and 247 Sports (63%, 168 Votes)
  • That due to cancellations of other games, the CU at Stanford game will be on ESPN (and, with no CBS game due to SEC postponements, could have a large audience) (31%, 83 Votes)
  • That instead of cutouts or advertisements, Stanford will have 470 trees ringing Stanford Stadium on Saturday. It should make for a very interesting (bizarre?) visual on Saturday (6%, 16 Votes)

Pac-12 power rankings has Colorado as the No. 8 team in the conference. Thoughts?
  • I don't really care. All I care is that the Buffs are 1-0. If the Buffs are 2-0 a week from now, I'll be much more interested in CU's place in the conference rankings (65%, 220 Votes)
  • About right. The Buffs were ranked as the No. 11 team in the conference preseason, so it will be a slow climb back to relevance in the conference race (31%, 103 Votes)
  • Too low. There are four teams which are 1-0 in Pac-12 play, including Colorado. Until proven otherwise, the Buffs are one of the top teams in the conference (4%, 14 Votes)

What for you is the most "interesting" CU news Monday?
  • That kicker James Stefanou is retiring from football. No issue with the 32-year old moving on with his life, but the timing is surprising (44%, 152 Votes)
  • That Jarek Broussard was named the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Week. Not bad for a back who hadn't played for two years (and joining Phillip Lindsay as CU's only RB so honored by the Pac-12) (32%, 111 Votes)
  • That Colorado was the biggest "mover" in the CBS national rankings, moving up 44 spots (nice of CBS to have CU ranked No. 110 in the nation last week) (24%, 82 Votes)

Which for you was the most surprising statistic for the Buffs' offense against UCLA?
  • That in his first start, QB Sam Noyer accounted for 321 yards of total offense (257 passing; 64 rushing) with two touchdowns and no turnovers (38%, 141 Votes)
  • That the CU offense, which averaged 23.5 points per game last year (100th in the nation), posted 48 points (and could have had more) (36%, 131 Votes)
  • That in his first start, RB Jarek Broussard ran for 187 yards and three touchdowns, a school record for rushing yards by a freshman RB starting the first game of the season (26%, 97 Votes)

CU races out to a 35-7 lead, holding on for a 48-42 victory. Thoughts?
  • A great team win. Sam Noyer and Jarek Broussard were excellent in their debuts, and the defense posted fourth quarter stops when it needed to. Congratulations, Buffs! (45%, 206 Votes)
  • I don't care if it was ugly. I don't care if it was stressful. All I care about is that CU is 1-0 in 2020 (42%, 194 Votes)
  • The Buffs needed four turnovers to take the lead, but the defense was porous the remainder of the game. The second half track meet will be repeated by good offenses the remainder of the season (13%, 59 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
