Which random factoid of the week do you find to be the most surprising/interesting?
  • That Colorado had five of its defensive starters named to All-Pac-12 teams in 2020 ... and all five will be returning for the 2021 season (78%, 199 Votes)
  • That former CU offensive lineman David Bakhtiari is the highest-paid (four years, $105.5 million) offensive lineman in NFL history (15%, 38 Votes)
  • That this week Bakhtiari this week broke a tie with WR Cliff Branch and DB Mark Haynes to become the first Buff to be named to five NFL All-Pro teams (7%, 19 Votes)

How would you rank CU's head coaching position when considering recruiting, facilities, staffing and institutional commitment?
  • In the middle tier of the Pac-12. The Buffs will never be at the level of a USC or Oregon, but can - and should - hold their own with most of the conference (63%, 170 Votes)
  • Probably in the bottom third, but that is changing. With improved facilities, and an improved commitment to athletics, the Buffs should see improvement in the 2020's over the 2010's (25%, 67 Votes)
  • In the bottom tier, I'm afraid. If you look at the commitment of the University, and combine it with CU's recruiting disadvantages, it will always be an uphill climb for the Buffs (12%, 32 Votes)

Colorado defeats No. 17 Oregon, 79-72, behind a double-double by McKinley Wright. Thoughts?
  • A great win! The Buffs were just outside the polls coming into the week. This win will put the Buffs into the Top 25 (not to mention a nice boost in the next bracketology projections)! (61%, 177 Votes)
  • I just have to say that I like the stat that CU is now 10-0 all-time against Oregon in games played in Boulder. Glad to see the streak has been kept alive! (20%, 58 Votes)
  • Well, the Buffs were ranked No. 18 and coasting last February, then went south. Tad Boyle produces "good" teams. Can he put a "great" team on the court come March? (19%, 54 Votes)

Nate Landman announces that he will be coming back for the 2021 season. Thoughts?
  • Great news! A second-team All-American and only Buff to earn back-to-back first-team All-conference honors since CU joined the Pac-12. Yea! (51%, 159 Votes)
  • Even if he doesn't get a full season (or isn't 100%), his leadership in the locker room will be most welcome. Landman "bleeds black and gold", and his mere presence will help the team (38%, 119 Votes)
  • Happy, but let's see how he recovers. Surgery was on December 15th, and it's a long rehab process. We don't know how much playing time he'll get next year ... and what his condition might be (11%, 36 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
