CBS Sports ranks the Power Five conference coaches, with CU's Karl Dorrell in at No. 54. Thoughts?
- Hopefully, after another winning season and another bowl appearance, he will win over the national media. Here's to keeping a chip on Dorrell's (and the players') shoulders! (62%, 159 Votes)
- Ridiculously low. No. 47 Scott Frost (12-20 in three years at Nebraska) and No. 39 Chip Kelly (10-21 in three years at UCLA) are still ranked above Dorrell? Results on the field don't matter? (25%, 63 Votes)
- About right, actually. The "high floor but limited ceiling" comment stings a little bit, but remains true until proven different (13%, 35 Votes)

Which news story of the day to you was the most "eyebrow raising"?
- That Oregon projects a deficit of "only" $55 million this fiscal year (CU's projections are around $20 million). Was Uncle Phil out of town when they were balancing the books? (35%, 58 Votes)
- That CU Chancellor Phil DiStefano said: “I’m confident we’re going to have fans in the stadium this fall". From his lips to the ears of Boulder County Health - I can't wait to get back to Folsom! (34%, 56 Votes)
- That Stanford rescinded its plan to eliminate 11 sports. Goes to show what (common sense or public pressure - depending on your political bent) can do (31%, 50 Votes)

The most interesting news story of the day ...
- The Pac-12 has eliminated the sit-out-a-year rule for intra-conference undergraduate transfers. While just adopting rules being approved nationwide, this could be a game-changer going forward (51%, 74 Votes)
- The NCAA is not likely to have any NIL legislation in place before July 1st (when several states have laws going into effect). Chaos in collegiate athletics is only six weeks away! (40%, 57 Votes)
- The bracket for the Paradise Jam tournament has been set. Bring on the Salukis (of Southern Illinois)! Perhaps a showdown with CSU in the final? (9%, 13 Votes)

What grade would you give to the Pac-12 for its hiring of its new commissioner, George Kliavkoff?
- A B ... It seems like he has a good idea of what it takes to rescue the conference from its decade of wandering through the desert, but the proof is in the pudding ... I'll wait for results (59%, 133 Votes)
- An A ... President of MGM who has experience in every area of concern - and he gets that his "bread is buttered" by football and men's basketball. Thumbs up! (27%, 61 Votes)
- A C ... Every other conference hires someone with football experience, while the Pac-12 (again) hires someone from the outside. It didn't work out with Larry Scott ... color me concerned (14%, 31 Votes)

If the Pac-12 were to expand to 14 or 16 teams, which direction should the conference go?
- Expand? I'm just hoping that: a) The Pac-12 can remain relevant on the national stage; and b) that Colorado can remain relevant in the Pac-12. The house needs to be cleaned up before inviting guests (67%, 156 Votes)
- Realistically, the next expansion will involve more regional teams. BYU, Boise State, San Diego State and Nevada are more realistic choices (16%, 38 Votes)
- If there are going to be four, 16-team Power conferences (and there will be), the Pac-16 will need some heft. Welcome, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas and Texas Tech! (17%, 38 Votes)

The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
