Senior quarterback Sam Noyer announces that he has entered the Transfer Portal. Thoughts?
  • All I know is that Noyer is the first Buff QB to leave school with a winning record since Joel Klatt. He was a team player, a true Buff, and I wish him well in his future endeavors (55%, 194 Votes)
  • Not really surprised. CU has two quality QB's who had the entire spring to learn the system, and Noyer could probably heard from the coaches that, if he wants to play, it will be elsewhere (32%, 113 Votes)
  • Shocked, especially at the timing. Noyer was reported to be doing well on his recovery from shoulder surgery, and was ready to compete to keep his job in the fall. Odd move in early June (13%, 44 Votes)

Bob Lopez, CU’s director of player personnel, on CU's roster: "We feel like we're in a really good place". Agree?
  • I'm not sure how it will all pan out, but, at least for now, it appears that this coaching staff has a good feel for recruiting and the transfer portal. Fingers crossed! (53%, 133 Votes)
  • Chiaverini said "we’ve closed the gap in total talent in the conference". We'll see - the pressure is really on him to produce this fall (31%, 79 Votes)
  • Unquestionably. Up and down the lineup, there have been upgrades. Between the recruits and the transfers, the Buffs have really filled in the gaps well (16%, 41 Votes)

Stanford's David Shaw "pissed" at Fox for scheduling opener v. Kansas State at 11:00 a.m. CT. Thoughts?
  • Shaw needs to put on his big boy pants and deal with it. He has all of Fall Camp to get his players ready for the early kickoff, and national exposure is what the Pac-12 desperately needs (46%, 95 Votes)
  • Just another example of how the Pac-12 has no power in these negotiations. Notice the LSU game at UCLA is not a Pac-12 After Dark game. Situation normal for the weak Pac-12 conference (39%, 80 Votes)
  • Totally agree with Shaw. No reason to disadvantage Pac-12 teams by having their players face 9:00 a.m. (body clock) kickoffs. Oregon will face the same issue Sept. 11th v. Ohio State (15%, 30 Votes)

Two players - Tight end Luke Stillwell and Defensive lineman Austin Williams leave the Buffs. Thoughts?
  • Nothing against the young men, but neither were contributors, and the Buffs needed to get the scholarship total down to 89. A smart move by the coaching staff (45%, 82 Votes)
  • Two more members of the transition Class of 2019 (the one split between MacIntyre and Tucker) to leave the program. It seemed liked a decent Class at the time, but it is not panning out that well (37%, 67 Votes)
  • I can understand trimming a tight end, but it would seem that the Buffs need all the defensive linemen they can get - I hope this works out (18%, 32 Votes)

College Football News rates Rashaan Salaam as the No. 3 candidate (out of 78) for the College Football Hall of Fame. Thoughts?
  • Great ... It's about time that Salaam gets in. He should have been enshrined years ago. If Salaam is rated as the third-best candidate, and ten get in every year ... sounds pretty positive! (84%, 152 Votes)
  • I'll see it when I see it. I don't know if it was Salaam's abbreviated NFL career, or off the field problems, but there seems to be an unwritten bias against his enshrinement (9%, 17 Votes)
  • I don't know about this year, but Salaam should get in eventually. I'm just glad to see that no Pac-12 team has more nominees than does CU! (Six schools, including Oregon and Washington, have none) (7%, 11 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
