Big 12 Commissioner sends a "cease and desist" letter to ESPN, claiming the network is conspiring to take down the Big 12 (and end its $1.06B contract). Thoughts?
- It's going to be a drawn out process to unwind existing leagues and contracts. I'm glad we have Rick George on our side, and that George Kliavkoff is there for the Pac-12, and not Larry Scott (50%, 122 Votes)
- Good for the Big 12. ESPN and the SEC are trying to build a monopoly. It's time for the other leagues (along with Fox and CBS) to band together to create a level playing field (37%, 92 Votes)
- Sounds like arguing over who left the barn door open. Of course other leagues are going to be talking to the "Irate Eight". How many eyeballs those teams will bring to the table is a part of that (13%, 32 Votes)

Which Karl Dorrell Pac-12 Media Day press conference quote do you like the best?
- "Nate (Landman), his health report at this time, he’s close to a hundred percent. We do anticipate him being a hundred percent by somewhere in the middle of training camp" (43%, 80 Votes)
- "We like how things are headed, where things are headed, and we feel that we’re going to do some really good things in the future of this program" (29%, 55 Votes)
- "The thing that resonates with me that (Pac-12 Commissioner Kliavkoff) said that I really liked is he said, We’re going to make this a championship program or conference. That’s what I want to hear" (16%, 31 Votes)
- "These young men have done a great job, they really have. But I do think they have given me the benefit of the doubt. That’s all I can ask for as a head coach" (12%, 22 Votes)

Rate the chances that CU will leave the Pac-12 to become part of a newly configured "Big Ten"
- Low. The lack of success in the past 15 years will come back to bite the Buffs. USC, UCLA,, Oregon and Washington are far more attractive candidates for the Big Ten than is Colorado (47%, 145 Votes)
- Medium. There are way too many moving parts right now. Officially, Texas and Oklahoma aren't leaving the Big 12 until 2025, so it's time to tap the brakes on realignment talk (41%, 126 Votes)
- High. CU brings the Denver television market, a history of success, and the move makes geographic sense. I look forward to renewing CU's Thanksgiving rivalry game v. Nebraska! (12%, 35 Votes)

Which quote from the Lance Carl interview gives you the most optimism about the 2021 season?
- "We will run the ball, and dictate the game with the run ... Personally, I love it when you have a quarterback that can make it 11-on-11 football" (46%, 89 Votes)
- "We've had total buy-in from our student-athletes with (new strength and conditioning coach) Shannon (Turley) and his staff" ... "We will compete in every game we play in" (44%, 86 Votes)
- "Karl (Dorrell) really feels that everyone on the team has a role. We will be a much better team as soon as everybody accepts their roles ... The team needs to be ego-free, team-centric" (10%, 20 Votes)

What for you would be the best scenario for CU if conference realignment is to get back into high gear?
- That CU becomes part of a new "Pac-16", with some strong teams joining the conference (not just Big 12 leftovers like Oklahoma State and Texas Tech)) (40%, 94 Votes)
- That the Big Ten be reconfigured, with Maryland and Rutgers joining the ACC, and CU joining the Big Ten as part of the new eight-team "Big Ten West" (36%, 84 Votes)
- Right now, less is more. I hope that there isn't any new reconfiguration of the Pac-12 (or other leagues) for another few years (24%, 58 Votes)

The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
