Dorrell: "Leadership takes guys doing the right things and keeping guys accountable to doing the right things". Thoughts?
- Sounds like a deflection of responsibility. The players are 18-22, and Dorrell is being paid millions to lead them. If the locker room is leader-less, it's on the coaches, not the players (43%, 114 Votes)
- I just hope that this is the first week of the new Buffs. I don't expect the Buffs to magically become competitive with teams like Oregon, but even some marginal improvement would be appreciated (39%, 105 Votes)
- True statement. There have been comments from players (Broussard/Rice) that not everyone in the locker room is on board. It's time for players to accept some ownership (18%, 48 Votes)

Karl Dorrell fires offensive line coach Mitch Rodrigue: “I felt this was the appropriate time to make a change". Thoughts?
- I will give Dorrell credit for making some sort of a move, with the understanding that more changes are coming at the end of the season. If no more changes are made, then this move was a waste of time (52%, 197 Votes)
- That's it? Darrin Chiaverini still has a job? Putting lipstick on a pig - CU is 130th out of 130th in total offense, and firing one coach will make a difference? Color me unimpressed (31%, 119 Votes)
- Glad the move was made. Perhaps it should have come a few weeks ago during the bye week, but I'm glad to see that Dorrell is recognizing changes need to be made (17%, 63 Votes)

Where do you place the most blame for the current state of Colorado football?
- On the coaches. It seems clear that most, if not all, of the offensive coaching staff needs to go, and now. Last in the nation in total offense? How is that even possible? (63%, 256 Votes)
- On the administration. Sure, it was tough hiring a coach in February when Midnight Mel left, but why give Dorrell, who was on nobody's list, an $18 million buyout? CU is boxed into a corner (30%, 120 Votes)
- On the players. Brenden Rice said: "You see that some people are buying in and some people are not fully in. We need a full buy-in". CU needs some leaders in the locker room (7%, 29 Votes)

California 26, Colorado 3. Thoughts?
- Disgusting, absolutely disgusting. Did the CU coaching staff understand that this was a Cal team with the worst defense in the Pac-12? Pathetic effort (61%, 244 Votes)
- Unless CU has another bye week to work out the "subtle changes" (which they don't), they won't get another win. Fire Chiaverini now, and at least try to salvage something positive from the offense (31%, 123 Votes)
- It was a good week last week; this week it was a bad week. With the Pac-12 in disarray, the Buffs have five more chances at an up week. Put this game in the rear view mirror, and move on (8%, 32 Votes)

It's time! Your prediction for Colorado at California (Sat., 1:40 p.m., MT, Pac-12 Networks):
- I feel good about this one. The Buffs improved significantly over the bye week, and Cal just finds ways to lose games. Before a quiet Cal in Berkeley, Buffs pick up win No. 3 (39%, 99 Votes)
- Cal has done well early in games, but fades late. I just don't know if the Buffs have it in them to take advantage. Buffs come agonizingly close to a win, but fail in the end (35%, 88 Votes)
- I don't like the feel of this one. The Buffs can't be trusted on the road, and one game (one half, actually) does not mean the Buffs are back. Reality kicks in - a double digit defeat (26%, 64 Votes)

The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
