CU receives a commitment from 6'2", 185-pound athlete from Georgia, Xavier Smith. Thoughts?
- Trusting the coaching staff. Every new commit will be replacing a current scholarship player. Is Mr. Smith better than the DB he'll be replacing? We'll see (37%, 91 Votes)
- A track star who played safety, nickel back, quarterback, running back, and kickoff returner this past fall? CU needs speedy, athletic players, and Mr. Smith checks all the boxes. I like this prospect (36%, 87 Votes)
- A week before Signing Day, and CU is picking up a prospect from talent-rich Georgia ... with no offers from any schools I can find on a map? I hope this works out, but I'm not impressed (27%, 66 Votes)

Former CU (and San Jose State) head coach Mike MacIntyre named the new head coach at Florida International. Thoughts?
- Good for him. While he didn't leave the Buff Nation on the best of terms, I do appreciate MacIntyre being able to raise the program from the dumpster fire left by Embree (61%, 201 Votes)
- MacIntyre has found his level (like Dan Hawkins at FCS Cal-Davis). I can see Coach Mac being successful at another Group of Five school (21%, 70 Votes)
- I couldn't believe Brian Howell's tweet that 31 players recruited by MacIntyre were on the 2021 roster. It seems like he's been gone forever, but it really hasn't been that long ... (18%, 59 Votes)

Signing Day is next Wednesday. Rate your level of enthusiasm for CU's Recruiting Class of 2022
- Moderate. I'll pay more attention as we get closer to Signing Day, but it's not something I'm paying much attention to right now (37%, 117 Votes)
- High. CU's Class is ranked fourth in the Pac-12, and it has a number of quality recruits. Can't wait to get these prospects on board with the Black-and-Gold! (32%, 101 Votes)
- Low. I can't remember a year when there has been less hype and enthusiasm for Signing Day. I'll check in next Wednesday, but I'm not looking forward to it (31%, 98 Votes)

Nate Landman named Second-Team All Pac-12 by the conference coaches ... but no other Buff makes either of the first two teams. Thoughts?
- Congratulations to Mr. Landman. The first Buff to earn All Pac-12 honors all four years, it's a testament to his talent that he was second-team despite playing only seven games (51%, 140 Votes)
- I guess there is some consolation that six of the eight Buffs who earned honorable mention honors will be back on the roster next year. Something to build on (26%, 73 Votes)
- Sad commentary that Landman was the only player to receive even second-team honors. Shows how far this team has to go to get back to respectability (23%, 63 Votes)

Which news story of the day for you was the most "eyebrow raising"?
- That, for the second time in four years, Oregon lost a head coach to a Florida school (Taggart to Florida State in 2017; Cristobal to Miami in 2021). Nike U ... a stepping stone job? (43%, 127 Votes)
- That CSU was able to lure away Nevada's Jay Norvall. Yes, it was for more money, but a lateral move in the MWC at best (and did Norvall see CSU's balance sheet ... and attendance numbers?) (41%, 121 Votes)
- That ESPN is predicting the Pac-12 will go 1-5 in bowl games ... with the only winner being - wait for it - Washington State over Miami in the Sun Bowl. Another embarrassing bowl year for the Pac-12 (16%, 48 Votes)

The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
