What to you was the best news of the day for the Buff Nation?
- That Rashaan Salaam was selected for enshrinement into the College Football Hall of Fame. Long overdue, but it's nice to have Buff No. 10 in the Hall of Fame (60%, 194 Votes)
- That the CU women's basketball team is back in the Top 25, with Julian Hammond III the Pac-12 Freshman POTW and Jaylyn Sherrod the Pac-12 POTW - good week for CU basketball (21%, 70 Votes)
- That Alabama's Nick Saban (and Georgia's Kirby Smart) came out against using NIL to recruit players. Not that the SEC is going to lead the way (or self impose any restrictions), but it's a start (19%, 62 Votes)

CU adds Clay Patterson to the staff, coming over from Minnesota to be CU's tight ends coach and passing coordinator. Thoughts?
- Patterson has worked with offensive coordinator Mike Sanford the past two years, and has coached tight ends at the P5 level for the past four years. Sounds like a solid hire to me (44%, 137 Votes)
- What difference does it make, if all of CU's best players are leaving? Who cares if Patterson can develop talent - if he's any good at it, his players will be somewhere else next year (41%, 128 Votes)
- A tight ends coach? Not helpful, since CU doesn't use tight ends. Worked with the fired (sorry, not retained) Mike Sanford. This hire gets a yawn from me (15%, 44 Votes)

Which of the following Karl Dorrell quotes gives you the most optimism about the Buffs going forward?
- None of the above. These quotes are just coach speak. Let's see some actual positive news. Arizona won one game ... and has a Top 25 Recruiting Class. Get some players, coach (and stop losing stars)! (78%, 221 Votes)
- “When you come off of a disappointing year, I don’t believe in just being status quo going into the next season. I think that sends the wrong message about the expectations that we all have" (12%, 34 Votes)
- “I wanted to make, and with Rick’s endorsement of it, the necessary changes for us to be better as a staff in coaching our players so that we can get a better product on the field" (7%, 20 Votes)
- “It’s important that we continue to move the needle from a coaching perspective and obviously with continuing to improve the depth of our roster" (3%, 8 Votes)

If you had millions to put towards CU recruits in the name of Name, Image, and Likeness, would you do so?
- No chance. Sure, if I won the lottery, I would donate more to CU, but there are more important things in life than giving 18-year olds cash. I miss the days when coaches developed programs (45%, 104 Votes)
- In a heartbeat. If Oregon and Oklahoma State can build national programs with the infusion of extra dollars, why can't CU? I'm tired of losing, and would like to see CU compete for championships (32%, 74 Votes)
- I like the James Earl Jones Field of Dreams quote: "For it is money they have, and peace they lack". I don't know if I would save CU if I won the lottery, but I'd like the chance to find out! (23%, 55 Votes)

CU athletic director Rick George: “With NIL, there’s some things out there that I’m disappointed in, that some schools are doing, because I think some of it falls under inducements". Thoughts?
- Duh. Glad Rick George recognizes that schools are out there buying players. The question is: What is he - and the NCAA - going to do about it? (In the meantime, CU fails to get players) (44%, 119 Votes)
- If you can't beat 'em, join 'em. George had a year-and-a-half on the NIL committee to get some national rules worked out. Didn't happen. CU is standing on principle ... and getting left behind. (36%, 97 Votes)
- Nice to see George has a good understanding of the issues. Since he was on the NCAA NIL committee, I trust/hope that he is in on the plan to bring some sense to what is going on out there (20%, 56 Votes)

The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
