Linebacker Matt Russell and offensive guard Joe Garten on ballot for the College Football Hall of Fame. Thoughts on their chances of entry?
- Both will eventually get in, but with Salaam getting in this year, it may be a couple of seasons before another Buff will be honored by the College Football Hall of Fame (54%, 76 Votes)
- Matt Russell should get in - The Butkus Award winner and a consensus All-American. Russell checks all of the boxes, and his continued involvement in the game will certainly help (21%, 29 Votes)
- I'm not sure either will get in. It's been 25-30 years since they played, and memories fade. Look how long it took Salaam - a high-profile Heisman Trophy winner - to get in (20%, 28 Votes)
- Joe Garten should get in - Two-time first-team All-American (unanimous in CU's national championship season). Garten checks all of the boxes, and it doesn't hurt that he was in two title games (5%, 8 Votes)

Which factoid about sophomore kicker Cole Becker do you feel is the most interesting?
- That Becker hit on three field goals of over 50 yards last season, the most by a CU kicker since Mason Crosby in 2005 (44%, 59 Votes)
- That Becker, after missing his first three field goals (and almost losing his job during the Arizona State game), bounced back, hitting 14 of 17 field goals the rest of the season (40%, 54 Votes)
- That Becker felt more pressure on the extra point in the first overtime against Oregon State than he felt kicking the 43-yard game winner in the second overtime (16%, 21 Votes)

Athlon releases its All-Pac-12 preseason teams, with seven Buffs included in the list. Thoughts?
- So, a transfer from West Virginia, Josh Chandler-Semedo, deserves All-Pac-12 recognition for CU, but four-year player (with over 20 career starts) Terrance Lang is not deserving? Sigh (42%, 62 Votes)
- CU has seven players on the squad, the same number as UCLA and Arizona, and two fewer than ASU. This tells me the middle of the Pac-12 South is up for grabs (35%, 52 Votes)
- Yikes. Yes, there are seven Buffs listed, but only one (Isaiah Lewis) on the first two teams. Not a surprise - the national magazines have little faith in CU's chances this fall (23%, 33 Votes)

Ohio State head coach Ryan Day figures the Buckeye Nation will need to raise about $13 million in NIL money to keep the current roster. Thoughts?
- Just another reminder of how far the college football world has spun out of control. Let's just hope that the have's get the own league soon, and we can get on with watching CU play equal teams (67%, 88 Votes)
- Nothing to see here - at least for CU fans. This may be the way of the world for teams competing for national titles, but doesn't apply to the world of mortals (18%, 23 Votes)
- Sounds about right. About a half million apiece for starters, and some incentive money for the rest of the roster. If you want to compete today, you have to be realistic about the cost (15%, 20 Votes)

247 Sports projects all three of CU's non-conference opponents, and six of eight Pac-12 opponents, are bowl-bound. Thoughts?
- How long has it been since CU was listed as a projected bowl team? The 2016 and 2020 seasons were not anticipated, and were (correctly, as it turned out) considered as aberrations. So ... 2008? (51%, 68 Votes)
- Whatever. 247 Sports is projecting that Utah will make the playoffs, and USC will make the Rose Bowl? Two Pac-12 teams in New Year's Six bowls?? Not happening ... so we can disregard the projections (26%, 35 Votes)
- Ten of CU's opponents are going bowling? Even if CU beats the other two (Cal and Arizona), CU is projected to go 2-10 ... sounds about right (23%, 30 Votes)

The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
