What are your thoughts about the Pac-12 and the ACC forming a "loose partnership"
- A hard pass. Without the LA schools, the Pac-12 is fatally wounded. Any agreement with the ACC would only last until the next poaching round by the SEC and Big Ten. A band-aid on a flesh wound at best (57%, 149 Votes)
- The devil would be in the details. If the teams were bound to each other and the media deal (no handshake deals, please), it could result in real dollars for the partnership (and CU) (35%, 93 Votes)
- Intriguing. A huge new market, a chance for some fun non-conference matchups, stability for the conference, and a better bargaining position for the two conferences for the next media deal (8%, 21 Votes)

Another day, another round of speculation. Which of the following seems to you to be the most likely to take place?
- The Big 12 offers membership to the Four Corners schools, as well as Oregon and Washington, creating a de facto merger between the Pac-12 and Big 12 (44%, 123 Votes)
- The Big 12 offers membership to the "Four Corners" schools - CU; Utah; Arizona; and Arizona State, leaving Oregon and Washington to hope for a bail out offer from the Big Ten (25%, 70 Votes)
- That the Big Ten will offer membership to Oregon and Washington (and Stanford?), along with an announcement that Notre Dame is joining the conference (13%, 36 Votes)
- That the Pac-12 and the ACC will form a real "Alliance", preserving both conferences in the brave new world of realignment (10%, 28 Votes)
- That the Buffs are asked to join the Big Ten ... or the SEC ... ya never know ... (8%, 23 Votes)
Start Date: July 5, 2022 @ 4:36 pm

In 2024, CU's conference affiliation will be ...
- In the Big 12. Colorado will defect to its old conference, along with Utah and Arizona schools, joining a "Big 16" conference which will have a coast-to-coast national relevance (53%, 144 Votes)
- In a merged Pac-12 and Big 12. In an effort to stay nationally relevant, the two conferences west of the Mississippi merge to form a super-conference (33%, 91 Votes)
- In the new and expanded Big Ten. There will be a quicker-than-expected move to two super conferences, and CU will make the cut in the brave new world of high stakes college football (11%, 29 Votes)
- In the new and improved Pac-12/14/16. Geography and a need to stay relevant will bring about an expansion of the conference (3%, 10 Votes)
Start Date: July 4, 2022 @ 5:42 pm

What would you think of CU, Utah, Arizona State and Arizona joining the Big 12 to form 16-team conference?
- It only makes sense if the Pac-12 implodes. If Oregon and Washington abandon the Pac-12 for the Big Ten, then an escape to the Big 12 might be the last best place for CU to land (65%, 191 Votes)
- I like it. With BYU already joining, CU could be in a pod with the Kansas schools and perhaps Iowa State or Oklahoma State - just like the good old days of the Big Eight (27%, 79 Votes)
- I don't like it. There was a (good) reason why CU left the midwestern conference in the first place. It wasn't a good fit back then, and it wouldn't be a good fit now (8%, 25 Votes)
Start Date: July 3, 2022 @ 3:22 pm

If CU is "relegated" to a diluted Pac-12, or some other not-in-the-running-for-a-national-championship conference, will it affect your fandom?
- We'll see. l would like to see CU have a realistic path to the national title, but we'll have to see where CU is playing in 2024 before I'll decide my future level of interest (46%, 116 Votes)
- No. It may hurt to have CU out of the big leagues, but being in a conference in which CU can be competitive would be a refreshing change from what we have now (40%, 101 Votes)
- Yes. CU spent the last century-plus as one of the top 25 teams in the nation. If CU is no longer playing with the big boys, I'm not longer interested in the program (14%, 36 Votes)
Start Date: July 2, 2022 @ 4:55 pm

The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
