Defensive back Preston Hodge announces he is returning to CU for the 2025 season. Thoughts?
- Excellent news! Hodge was a Big 12 honorable mention defensive back, even while missing four games. Hodge will help an already strong defensive backfield be dominant this fall (62%, 128 Votes)
- What stands out for me: Hodge is not only returning, but that he is returning to play for Coach Prime. Folks worrying about CU's Transfer Portal haul are missing the strong core which is returning (34%, 70 Votes)
- It's great that Hodge is taking advantage of the extra year of eligibility afforded to junior college players, but, if I'm being honest, I'm getting a little tired of six- and seven-year players (4%, 9 Votes)

CU adding to the roster by signing offensive and defensive linemen with playing experience, but little star power. Thoughts?
- If CU is going to go from good to great, it starts in the trenches. Whether they are future starters or players adding needed depth, I'm glad that Coach Prime is building from the inside out (66%, 125 Votes)
- Trying not to be too worried, but it seems like the coaching staff is missing on some of the higher-rated transfers. I had hoped that a nine-win season would help CU's appeal in the transfer market (22%, 41 Votes)
- Not concerned. The transfers who had the greatest impact this past seasons were the ones who had playing experience. Glad to see the coaching staff is following the same pattern this off-season (12%, 24 Votes)

Shedeur on NFL Draft: "What’s meant to happen is gonna happen". Thoughts on where Shedeur might go?
- My hope is that he (or Travis) are taken with the No. 1 overall pick (whether to Tennessee or in a trade), as CU has never had a No. 1 overall draft pick (49%, 89 Votes)
- My only concern is that there aren't deals in the works for Coach Prime and Shedeur to go as a package. Happy for Shedeur to get drafted, but I don't want to lose Coach Prime after only two seasons (46%, 85 Votes)
- My preference would be that he go to a team/division/conference away from my favorite NFL team ... so I don't have to cheer against him on Sundays (5%, 9 Votes)

Are you likely to participate in FanStakes, putting down stakes to try and lure specific prospects to CU?
- Not likely. This really isn't going to make much difference. With players asking for (and receiving) six figure deals, I can't see my small donation making any difference in getting a player to CU (62%, 96 Votes)
- Somewhat likely. I guess it depends on the situation, and the prospect. If participation in FanStakes will make a difference, I could be talked into making a donation (28%, 43 Votes)
- Very likely. This is the way it is. You can't complain about the quality of transfers if you aren't willing to participate. FanStakes gives you the chance to have a say in who CU brings in (10%, 15 Votes)

CU Signee Quentin Gibson named MaxPreps National Player of the Year. Thoughts?
- Great news! The 2024 wide receiver room was amazing, but I don't see much drop off in 2025. I can't wait to see what Mr. Gibson will bring to the black-and-gold (43%, 89 Votes)
- I couldn't help but notice that Gibson is considered only a three-star prospect by both Rivals and 247 Sports. Think the National Player of the Year might be higher rated if he had signed elsewhere? (29%, 60 Votes)
- Nice to see that CU is (once again) loading up on talent in the skill positions, but if you ask me, I'd rather be seeing some decorated offensive and defensive lineman coming to Boulder (28%, 57 Votes)

The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
