Arizona State upsets No. 21 Washington; Wisconsin and Georgia Tech register post-firing wins. Thoughts?
- Sorry, but those other teams (certainly Arizona State and Wisconsin) had much higher aspirations to start the season than did CU. Don't look for the Buffs to go on a run - it's not gonna happen (56%, 185 Votes)
- Whether the players want to prove something to the old coach, or to the next one, teams which fire coaches tend to play well early on. I hope that bodes well for the Buffs when they take on Cal (30%, 99 Votes)
- I don't know why players play better after the coach is fired ... These are the same players, shouldn't they have played better before their coach got canned? (14%, 47 Votes)

Report: CU holding onto its Recruiting Class of 2023 commitments. Thoughts?
- High school recruiting is not as important as it used to be. CU's next coach needs to be able to take advantage of the Transfer Portal if CU is to become a decent any time soon (53%, 112 Votes)
- For now, that is. December signing day is over two months away, and recruits are in the middle of their senior seasons. Just as sure as God made little green apples, this Class will fall apart (27%, 57 Votes)
- They say you're supposed to commit to a school and not to a coach, so perhaps these young men still believe in the University of Colorado. Good for them - we'll need them in 2023 and beyond (20%, 41 Votes)

Which of the following Pac-12 games this weekend for you holds the most interest?
- No. 11 Utah at No. 18 UCLA (1:30 p.m., MT, Fox) ... Will Utah put UCLA in its place, or will the Bruins set themselves apart as the main challenger to USC in the Pac-12 "South"? (85%, 150 Votes)
- Washington State at No. 6 USC (5:30 p.m., MT, Fox) ... Washington State has been a hard luck team, and USC doesn't look like a top ten team. Will the Cougars upset the Trojans? (7%, 13 Votes)
- No. 21 Washington at Arizona State (2:00 p.m., MT, Pac-12 Networks) ... ASU gave USC a game last week. Are the Sun Devils going to make a run in the new world without Herm Edwards? (3%, 6 Votes)
- Oregon State at Stanford (9:00 p.m., MT, ESPN) ... It wasn't all that long ago that this was a gimme game for the Cardinal. Now it looks like a win for the Beavers, right? (3%, 5 Votes)
- No. 12 Oregon at Arizona (7:00 p.m., MT, Pac-12 Networks) ... Oregon has a history of stumbling in the desert. Will the Wildcats give the Ducks a game, or will Oregon assert its dominance? (2%, 3 Votes)
Start Date: October 6, 2022 @ 5:47 pm

What will CU's record be the remainder of the 2022 season under Mike Sanford?
- 1-6. I don't know if the Buffs will rise up against Cal or Arizona State, but I can see them winning at least one game this season (40%, 136 Votes)
- 0-7. You've seen these Buffs, haven't you? The coaches calling the plays may change, but the roster remains the same. Be prepared for two more months of blowouts (38%, 126 Votes)
- 2-5. Wins over Cal and ASU are possible. November brings four ranked opponents, so it's win those two ... or nothing (15%, 51 Votes)
- 3-4 or even 4-3. What can I say? Georgia Tech fired its coach, and went out and beat a ranked team in Pitt. The firing might just unify the team we didn't think was all that bad (7%, 23 Votes)

Thoughts on whether CU's next head coach should have head coaching experience
- Not necessary. CU's next head coach can hire any number of assistants - and a pair of coordinators - with head coaching experience. CU needs inspiration more than an "HC" on the resume (41%, 113 Votes)
- Definitely. While a hot coordinator might get fans excited, there is so much more to being a head coach. CU can't afford to have its next coach learn the job on the run (31%, 87 Votes)
- Undecided. It would probably make sense to have CU's next coach be familiar with the job, but an FCS or G5 head coaching job is so different from a Power Five job, it probably doesn't matter (28%, 78 Votes)

The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
