Buffs upset No. 11 Tennessee in Nashville, 78-66. Thoughts?
  • I'm just glad we as CU fans finally have something to cheer about. Signing a five-star prospect, then beating the No. 11 team in the country (basically) on the road. Nice to feel good for a change (48%, 138 Votes)
  • Well, this is more like it! We knew there would be some ups and downs in the early campaign, but after the down against Grambling, no one predicted this "up". Well done, Buffs! (42%, 122 Votes)
  • We'll just have to cheer for Tennessee the rest of the season. It will only offset the "bad loss" to Grambling if this proves to be a big win for CU's NET Rankings come March (10%, 28 Votes)

Which is the most important factor for the University of Colorado football program to become relevant again?
  • Getting the next hire right. If CU doesn't get a splash hire, there will be no hope of attracting enough quality transfers to turn the program around (44%, 112 Votes)
  • Getting the transfer policies at Colorado changed. If CU can't compete for transfers, there is no hope for building a program going forward (38%, 97 Votes)
  • Getting the Buffs4Life NIL program well funded. If CU can't find a way to attract new players, including high school recruits - not to mention retaining current players - CU can't compete (18%, 48 Votes)

No. 8 USC 55, Colorado 17. Thoughts?
  • About what we had expected. Had the Trojans not run up the score with a touchdown with 36 seconds remaining, the Buffs would have at least beaten the 34-pont spread (44%, 87 Votes)
  • Who cares about the football team? The embarrassment of the night was the men's basketball team losing to Grambling State. Not even Thanksgiving, and our hopes for MBB have already been dashed (32%, 63 Votes)
  • A complete embarrassment. The Buffs held the lead for the first time in a month, Alex Fontenot played well, and the defense gave Caleb Williams his second interception of the season. That's it (24%, 49 Votes)

It's time! Your prediction for Colorado at No. 8 USC (Friday, 7:30 p.m., MT, FS1)
  • Hmmm ... A road game, against an explosive offense, against a team trying to impress a national television audience that they are playoff worthy. Sounds like a rout to me (75%, 171 Votes)
  • I'm banking on the Trojans looking past the Buffs, what with UCLA and Notre Dame left on the schedule. Buffs have no chance at winning, but will beat the 34-point spread (15%, 34 Votes)
  • Of all the teams CU has played more than three times, the Buffs are winless against only USC ... and the winless streak is up to 15. This has to end sometime ... Buffs in a huge upset! (10%, 23 Votes)

Which of the following double-digit Pac-12 underdogs (not named CU) has the best chance at a win this weekend?
  • No. 24 Washington (+13.5-points) at No, 6 Oregon ... In a big rivalry game, you throw out the records and the odds. The Huskies might not win, but it will be a close game (55%, 103 Votes)
  • California (+13.5-points) at Oregon State … Cal almost beat USC on the road last weekend, while Oregon State is coming off of a tough loss to the Huskies which took the Beavers out of the Pac-12 race (26%, 49 Votes)
  • Arizona (+19.5-points) at No. 9 UCLA … Arizona has been feisty at times, and UCLA could be caught looking ahead to next weekend's game against USC (13%, 25 Votes)
  • Stanford (+24.5) at No. 13 Utah … Gut feeling. The Cardinal was written off for dead a few weeks ago, then went on the road and defeated Notre Dame in South Bend. Lightning could strike twice (6%, 10 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
