Which of the following Athlon "Buffs who can impress this fall" do you think will be the most likely to be an All-Pac-12 player this fall?
  • LB Demouy Kennedy: A former top-35 recruit stuck in a talent-filled Alabama roster, Kennedy will shine this fall, and with the Pac-12 loaded with mobile quarterbacks, this is an important position (70%, 121 Votes)
  • WR Xavier Weaver: One of the most successful receivers in USF history, Weaver played in 40 games, with 21 starts and catching 116 passes for 1,735 yards and eight touchdowns. Like those numbers (17%, 30 Votes)
  • S Myles Slusher: An Arkansas transfer, Slusher is likely the most proven and best safety on the roster right now. He’s someone who can emerge as a leader on the backend of that defense (13%, 22 Votes)

Seems like "CU to the Big 12" discussion is heating again (and not just from Big 12 shill Dennis Dodd). Thoughts?
  • I'm just glad we have Coach Prime, and that CU is even in the discussion. CU had a bleak future six months ago, but now is an attractive candidate. Thank you, Coach Prime, for keeping CU relevant! (55%, 128 Votes)
  • Makes sense. The longer the Pac-12 media deal talks drag on, the more likely it sounds like it won't be a good deal. Can't blame CU administrators for looking into other options (33%, 77 Votes)
  • No way CU should be moving to the Big 12. No Power Five team has left their conference then gone crawling back. CU shouldn't be the first. The Pac-12 (even watered down) is better than the Big 12 (12%, 28 Votes)

CU non-conference kickoff times set: Buffs v. Huskers at 10:00 a.m. (Fox); Buffs v. Rams at 8:00 p.m. (ESPN). Thoughts?
  • Well, this is what we signed up for. Buff fans wanted CU to be relevant again, and now the Buffs will open with three (and likely five) straight nationally televised games. Fingers crossed for success (57%, 148 Votes)
  • Love it! Would it be better to have two 1:30 home games? Sure. But the "Big Noon Kickoff" is the Fox premiere game of the week, and CU gets ESPN national coverage v. the Lambs. We're comin'!! (29%, 76 Votes)
  • Not a fan of either kickoff time, to be honest. Having such an early kickoff for the 'Huskers will reduce crowd enthusiasm, and the late night game v. CSU will mean a flock (herd?) of drunk Ram fans (14%, 34 Votes)

How much attention are you paying to the negative press associated with the overhaul of the CU roster?
  • Some. It's hard to avoid. I do appreciate the fact that there are commentators like Joel Klatt who are getting the true word about what is going on in Boulder. Educate the misinformed! (45%, 106 Votes)
  • Very little. There are those who are cheering for Coach Prime and CU to fail, and I am tuning them out the best I can ... but it's getting old (36%, 85 Votes)
  • A great deal. I'm enjoying the jealousy, and the national attention being paid to CU for the first time in forever. I can't wait to remind the naysayers of the error of their ways this fall! (19%, 46 Votes)

San Diego State "well-positioned" for a move to the Pac-12 (or the Big 12). What is your current position on adding San Diego State to the Pac-12?
  • Hard to say, at least until the Pac-12 media contracts are announced. If expansion will keep the Pac-12 alive (and keep CU from having to go back to the Big 12), then I'm in on the Aztecs (47%, 108 Votes)
  • It makes sense. The Pac-12 needs to keep the Southern California market, if for no other reason than to keep the Big 12 out (and I do like that no one is talking about CSU joining the Power Five) (35%, 82 Votes)
  • A hard pass. Dipping into the Mountain West isn't going to gain extra dollars for the media contracts. Dividing up scarce dollars into smaller pieces doesn't make any sense. Stick with ten for now (18%, 42 Votes)

  1. The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!

  2. Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.

  3. Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
