CU opens as a 13.5-point road underdog to Central Florida (Saturday, 1:30 p.m., MT, Fox). Thoughts?
- That's a typo, right? If you told me CU was a 3.5-point underdog, or even a touchdown underdog, I would believe it. But two touchdowns? Vegas hasn't been watching the Buffs - CU can win this game! (46%, 132 Votes)
- Probably about right. Considering how much the Buffs have struggled to protect Shedeur, and how well UCF has been playing, I can see the Buffs keeping it close ... but not winning (31%, 91 Votes)
- This is a bad matchup for CU. Central Florida has a big mobile quarterback. KJ Jefferson could have a field day against the Buffs. Probably an ugly loss for the Buffs (23%, 67 Votes)

Colorado 38, Baylor 31, OT. Thoughts?
- OMG! One of the greatest finishes in the history of Colorado football. As Jack Buck would say: "I can't believe what I just saw!" ... Go Buffs! (66%, 180 Votes)
- I agree with choice No. 1 ... There is no other choice. We can nitpik and grouse about some of the other elements of the game later. Today is for celebration and joy! (34%, 92 Votes)

It's time! Your prediction for Baylor (+1.5) at Colorado (Saturday, 6:00 p.m., MT, Fox)
- Vegas has this as a close game for a reason. Baylor is improved, and coming to Boulder with some momentum. I'm looking for a close game. A CU win, but a nail-biter (41%, 106 Votes)
- I think this is CU's break out game. The defense has learned how to play for 60 minutes, and the offense will enjoy the home cooking. Buffs enjoy Homecoming with a strong team victory! (41%, 105 Votes)
- Weather may be a factor, which favors a team which can run the ball. Baylor can; CU can't. Baylor is a more complete team right now, and gets the win in Boulder (18%, 46 Votes)

Dennis Dodd has listed Travis Hunter as the second-best player he has ever seen. Thoughts?
- True statement. Barry Sanders was another once-in-a-generation talent, and was able to dominate for several years. Travis is in great company (44%, 65 Votes)
- I'm surprised that Dennis Dodd, who spent the off-season trashing Coach Prime and CU with every other article, found something nice to say about a Buff ... and that he was at a game in Ft. Collins (30%, 45 Votes)
- Good timing if you're considering not going to the game because it might rain. If he can stay healthy, Travis will go down as one of the best players the game has ever seen. Don't miss seeing him! (26%, 39 Votes)

Which of the following Big 12 conference opening weekend to you is the most interesting?
- No. 12 Utah at No. 14 Oklahoma State - 2:00 p.m., MT, Fox ... A battle for supremacy atop the Big 12, especially if Cam Rising is available for the Utes (92%, 218 Votes)
- No. 13 Kansas State at BYU - 8:30 p.m., MT, ESPN ... Both teams are 3-0. Kansas State has looked like a Playoff contender. Can the Cougars pull off the upset? (5%, 11 Votes)
- Kansas at West Virginia - 10:00 a.m., MT, ESPN2 ... Formerly ranked Kansas is 1-2 and at risk of falling to 1-3 ... perhaps CU's trip to Arrowhead Stadium might not be as hard as we feared (3%, 9 Votes)

The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
