Transfer wide receiver Jimmy Horn, Jr. the first Buff player to be given a number. Thoughts?
- I'm just enjoying this ride. Almost every day there are positive stories coming out of the Champions Center. I just hope the enthusiasm we are seeing from the roster bears fruit this fall (66%, 132 Votes)
- I like it. I like the fact that Coach Prime is making players earn their numbers, and I really like the fact that Jimmy Horn is doing so well in spring practices! (28%, 56 Votes)
- Much ado about nothing, if we're being honest. There are plenty of ways to motivate players, and this is one that many schools use. Nothing to see here (6%, 13 Votes)

Tight ends coach Tim Brewster: "We’ve got to have a true three-down tight end". Thoughts?
- With Seydou Traore on the roster, this may actually come true. Traore caught 50 passes last year, and can play. The real question is whether one of the returning TE's can step up and contribute (62%, 115 Votes)
- Sounds like it might finally happen. Brewster ahs been a head coach, and he wouldn't have taken the job if he didn't see tight ends as an integral part of the offense (25%, 46 Votes)
- Sigh. Better there, done that, got the t-shirt. How many times in the past decade or so have we heard that CU will be employing tight ends? I'll believe it when it actually happens (13%, 25 Votes)

ESPN has the CU men's basketball team as the No. 13 team in the nation in its preseason Top 25. Thoughts?
- I'm not sure this will play out, but I am happy to bask in the glow of CU being one of only six schools nationally to have teams in both preseason polls! (45%, 93 Votes)
- This is a typo, right? A CU team which struggled to stay above .500 this year is going to become a 25-win team next fall? Color me skeptical (28%, 57 Votes)
- Great news! I didn't know that the insertion of Cody Williams and Eddie Lampkin would make that much of a difference. Time for Tad to make his own run to the Sweet Sixteen! Go Buffs! (27%, 55 Votes)

CU women's basketball projected as the No. 20 team in the nation next season (after finishing No. 15 in the 2022-23 Coaches' poll). Thoughts?
- It's great news. A Sweet Sixteen appearance, a Top 15 final ranking, and a Top 25 projection for 2023-24? CU is enjoying its best run since Ceal Barry retired! Go Buffs! (64%, 109 Votes)
- It's good news, but there is still work to be done. There are seven (seven?) Pac-12 teams in the projected Top 25. It's going to be an exciting - but tough - season. Good luck, Buffs! (28%, 48 Votes)
- Sorry to say, but I would prefer it if the men's team which were receiving Top 25 accolades. Perhaps with freshman phenom Cody Williams and transfer center Eddie Lampkin coming in ... it may happen (8%, 14 Votes)

CU picks up a commitment from 6'11", 263-pound TCU transfer center Eddie Lampkin. Thoughts?
- Lampkin had offers from Georgetown, Memphis, Cincinnati, Arkansas, Florida, and Xavier - pretty good basketball programs. Thumbs up. Welcome, Mr. Lampkin! (57%, 160 Votes)
- So we're basically trading Lawson Lovering for Eddie Lampkin. Lovering had a higher upside out of high school, but both have had their moments in college. Looks like an upgrade (27%, 74 Votes)
- To be honest, when I saw CU had a new commitment, I was hoping it was for football. A good get ... but I hope it's not the only "win" over TCU in 2023! (16%, 45 Votes)

The Buffs need to wear the silver and gold that are the official school colors. Black jerseys are OK as the’ve been around for a long time, but out with the black helmets–and the white ones too. Gold helmets with silver pants, alternating with silver helmets and gold pants would be good. Nix on all black and all white!!
‘SkoBuffs!! Drub the Nubs.
Stuart, your polls are so thoughtful and on point. Appreciate you doing this and sharing it with your CUAtTheGame community.
Did Coach Hagan just let the cat out of the bag regarding Colorado’s starting QB?
Wouldn’t mind the Cheez-It Bowl at all, as I have connections at Kellogg’s (owns Cheez-it) who could get me tickets!! Is that Cheezy??? 🙂
